Gorge, aka Pit Waldmann's musical journey is the story of a lifetime. From his teenage years as a pop drummer, to his vibrant DJ career, to his role as one of the most revered producers in the electronic scene, Gorge has always been hooked on the beat. "I grew up surrounded with a mix of trance, techno, house and hip-hop," he says. "It gave me a very open mind."
His attitude and openness has fuelled a thriving career as DJ, producer, and co-owner, with Nick Curly, of 8bit Records. Gorge sees no reason to compartmentalise his music, or himself. As a young DJ in Mannheim, he combined working five days a week as a paramedic with playing in the city's thriving club scene. "In the '90s clubs were open every day of the week," he recalls with a laugh. "I was going to study medicine but the music infected me." 
Eventually Gorge gave up work as a paramedic to focus on music. He began releasing records in the early '00s, experimenting with deep sounds. In 2005 he and musical comrade Nick Curly founded 8bit Records, which became one of the standout labels of forward thinking electronica. It pioneered minimal in its early years, before evolving into a deeper, groovier sound. "That's when the real hype began," Gorge says.
Once it started, the hype never stopped. Gorge pushes his sound and builds his reputation with every release, every gig. "I'm not a DJ who plays the obvious tracks with the big breakdowns," he notes. "I show people you can have a good time with hypnotic, groovy stuff. Every night is different, but I always want to create an atmosphere in the club."
His passion for finding the perfect sound is what drives Gorge's prolific production schedule. Digital tools have streamlined his superb production skills (he is an in-demand producer and remixer for other artists). "Now it doesn't take six hours to set up a sequencer, I can make a track in a few hours," he grins. Needless to say, his studio is hub for a network of electronic artists. Nick Curly is a frequent collaborator, as is Markus Homm. The duo spends days in the studio, making music, browsing Gorge's sample library, playing with technology, and cooking. "Thai, Indian, vegetarian, I love it all," he says. "Whenever I'm travelling I eat the regional food. I always want to find something original to the place."
This passion for authenticity and originality is what drives his career and creative work. Whether spinning platters or filling plates, Gorge is as an artist in love with the rhythm of life.

NÈO-X is a Maltese producer and creative force shaping emotional, forward-thinking electronic music. His work fuses cinematic soundscapes, club energy, and storytelling — bridging the underground and mainstream worlds with a distinct sonic identity.

At a young age, Andre Sammut was already on his way to exploring the world of music before setting his heart on Djing and music production to become NÈO-X.

His aim is to produce music that uplifts, inspires and gives listeners the chance to detach into a world of sounds whilst continuing to develop artistically and tour around the world to play in some of the best venues and festivals . 

NÈO-X’s knowledge of music comes from a proficiency in guitar, music theory, countless hours of experimentation in the studio and a Diploma and Degree in Music Technology & Radio Broadcasting, most of which he learned when he logically shifted to London for seven years. 

NÈO-X is motivated to entertain, reality and nature is his ultimate inspiration.

His rhapsodic style and experimentation of finest deep melodic house and emotive electronica has lead him to iconic venues like Ibiza Rocks (Ibiza), Hideout Festival (Croatia), Sound Garden (Thailand), Ministry of Sound (UK), and all popular Maltese hangouts, as well as being a resident DJ at Chasing Sunsets which has become increasingly popular in the last few years.

INTERVIEW

1. How would you describe your sound?
“It’s actually what we used to call progressive house before EDM took over this genre. I also just like to call it melodic techno.”

2. How did you learn producing?
“First I wrote some songs for my band when I was a teenager with a simple midi editor. At some point I noticed the possibilities as to what you can do with these midi files and began trying out stuff with Fruity Loops and Ableton. It were mainly hip hop beats. After some years of self education via youtube videos and blogs I decided to study audio engineering here in Berlin.”

3. Favorite track at the moment/all time?
“It’s always hard to pick a favourite track. I think it depends on the situation. But you should keep an eye on Jeremy Olander at the moment. Everything from him stands out in the club.”

4. Dream collab?
“Would love to make a track with Henry Saiz!”

5. Favorite DJ Setup?
“2 x Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS + Allen & Heath Xone 92. + TC Electronics Reverb.”

6. What keeps you going?
“The fact that somebody I don’t know, somewhere in the world, at any time can discover my music. And hopefully that inspires this person, or at least causes some emotions.”

7. What makes you laugh?
“It’s not so hard to make me laugh.”

8. You in 10 years?
“Hopefully I will have seen a lot of the world. But still in Berlin, making music.”

9. What do you listen to besides electronic music?
“To be honest, not so much.”

10. Most exciting club moment?
“There were many exciting moments. But New Year’s Eve at Sisyphos was all over the place!”

11. DAW?
“Ableton Live for the creative process and Logic Pro for mixing.”

12. Where would you love to play live?
“Fusion Festival of course!“

13. What do you think about DIT KLINGT JUT?
“I think it „klingt jut".”

14. What makes dance music so special to you?
“It’s really a kind of hypnotic or a spiritual thing where you can just be yourself and forget about the rest. “

15. Next release?
“My track with Einmusik called „Haunting“ will be out soon on Vinyl.”

16. What is your trademark?
“I'm always using spherical sounds and pads in my tunes which create a certain vibe. I also like the 80's synth sound, in my last EP I tried to capture this a bit.”

The art of music has touched the hearts of human beings around the planet for thousands of years. It's a universal language with the ability to express what can't be expressed through words or thought. It can induce strong emotions, alter our states of consciousness and let us experience reality in a different way. It can draw us into the present moment, where just the music exists - unfolding through time, moment by moment. When we let go and merge into the auditory sensations, it takes us on an inner journey. Using this not to escape, but to fully embrace reality as it is, music can help us release tensions and bring balance to our everyday life. 
Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
