DKJ | Introduction

I usually do a presentation or teaser for the Sunday session. The session of this sunday is focused in a REFLECTION and although I have made a presentation, I must not publish it because this presentation is politically incorrect and possibly I have problems, specially with the social medias. Without this presentation, the purpose of the session and even the cover may not be completely clear, since without it it can create confusion by being part, everything, of the same idea. So if you listen the session, with the cover that appears, and you have some dude, or simply you want to see the presentation, send me a private message through FB and I will show you the presentation. I want to make it clear, that this work is part of a general REFLECTION of mine, although at first glance it may seem that it only focuses on one person, so without the presentation can be create this confusion.

If anyone felt offended, I apologize in advance, it is not my intention. I have always myself better with image and sound or music, than with words, that’s why I needed to do this job.

The most of sessions that I do come from my heart… this has come from my soul. Normally the objective that I seek, when I do my sessions, is fundamentally that people dance… not this one! this is only a REFLECTION. Fear, terror, sadness, joy, despair, rage, courage, hate, war, hope, joy, strength and peace, I was thinking about all this when I was preparing it. I hope this all ends soon. A big hug for all <3

Depth Perception Sessions #61 - Ebmath

Berlin-based Mona Moore has been a passionate lover of electronic music since the year 2000. Sooner or later, she just had to venture behind the decks. She had her debut in what she now calls "her living room" - the iconic Berlin club, KaterBlau. Since then, she has performed innumerable times both within and outside of the capital. 

Over the last year or so, Moore has entered the production side of things with original releases on Katz&Kauz and Rebellion der Traumer. Mona describes her music as describes a deep, groovy and melodic techno / deep house. Her philosophy when she is playing: "Sharing the love of music and thereby forgetting a few hours of space and time"

We have been following Mona Moore for a couple of years now, and love her unique take on melodic techno. We are super grateful for this exclusive mix, Institution 069: Mona Moore

As we're creeping towards the end of the year, I decided to highlight a new and exciting melodic techno concept;

I came in contact with one of the founders a while ago through the DHA academy (https://soundcloud.com/deep-house-amsterdam) and I decided to highlight this new and inspiring melodic techno concept.
⁠
FDTD is a first production from the newly formed non-profit organization called Geestdrift, which was created by 4 founders (Julie, Lothar, Matthias and Maxime)
⁠
They mainly focus on melodic techno & progressive house.
The goal is to start giving their genre of music, and young talented artists, a stage to perform. They had a first (private) event in October which sold out after a week and a half. And so far, 2 sold out editions of FDTD were organized, with Beswerda as headliner for the second edition . The third edition will take place on March 18th at Amigo Amigo in Ghent, with again an international headliner who already released on Oddity, Atlant and Eklectisch.

The intention is to organize club nights in the future, do their own parties & next summer an open air at a unique location.
The focus is and always will be quality. They're always going to try to work with people who also produce their own music. On their first event they invited Bröder & Kimman as external DJs, just to give an example.

To highlight the new concept even more, one of their residents (https://soundcloud.com/dvsk_music), who has more than 20 years of experience, made an enchanting guestmix. An excellent mix of relaxing melodic techno, an electro twist and a very nicely balanced dose of danceable melancholic sounds.

⁍Hey mates, a warm welcome to our Introduction series. We're very excited for the release of your track 'Nemea' - an absolute standout track in our eyes! Can you tell us a little about the idea behind it?

First of all we are excited to start our project with your label.
Nemea was born on a classic day in the studio, initially without a precise idea,  we knew that the only thing we wanted was something energetic and powerful, with a straight and big drop that would blow everything, so we got carried away by the vibes that each instrument emanated and step by step we made it.

⁍You guys are the first newly founded project we accepted for our label in a long time, what can we expect from you in the future?

Right now we are very focused in the studio, we work hard every day to make our style even more concrete. We have clear ideas now about what we want and what we want to achieve, we are constantly evolving, always looking for sounds that belong to us. We are very confident, we already have new records in the pipeline, we try to finish them as soon as possible and let people listen to them.

⁍How would you describe your approach to social media as artists?

Social media for an artist has a central role nowadays, they allow you to stay in touch with fans and people, sharing music with them is very rewarding. They also allow you to arrive directly in the music industry as the Labels to be able to listen to their releases, in short, it is like a sales channel of the Artist’s product. Then surely for emerging DJs and producers like us is very important social profile is a business card and you have to take care of it at best.

⁍How do you get into a creative flow?

To enter the creative flow we believe that the basis should be the awareness of what you want to do, not following or imitating others, but create what you feel inside and that more belongs to your personal taste, follow the vibes of that precise moment, just so we think that the realization of a record can be successful, because the first "judge" of the creations must be ourselves!

The art of music has touched the hearts of human beings around the planet for thousands of years. Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
