Following the albums "Lessons In Dub" (2012) and "Kontrollverlust" (2017) Leipzig based DJ and producer Marc DePulse now presents his 3rd artist album: Together Alone

The album title reflects the global sentiments surrounding the last two years while being confined indoors. It plays with the opposites of togetherness and aloneness. Being socially distanced during lockdown at home while all together stuck in the same situation individual aloneness was experienced as a collectively felt togetherness.

Therefore the idea behind Together Alone was engaging highly respected artists and friends from all over the planet for a collaborative project which Marc DePulse describes as "a colored box full of high-quality standards and with a lot of great stories inside".

Woven between the intro "Allein" (eng. alone) and the outro "Zusammen" (eng. together) the album captures stories of collectively felt emotions elicited by the pandemic.

The 13 tracks by 12 different artists highlight that despite all hardships we are never alone. This phenomena is represented by track 8 called ZIMWA, derived from the German sentence "Zusammen ist man weniger allein" (eng. Together you are less alone).

For the collaborative LP the artists got virtually together into the studio with Marc DePulse, exchanging stems, sharing parts, making video calls, chatting – simply doing things that were possible during the lockdown period.

Together Alone contains music from club to Easy Listening, from EBM to Breaks, from Pop to Tech – music to remember and heartfelt messages that will not be forgotten so fast.

We're all in this together. Not alone.

Our new BeenTouched Single Series comes back with two really established talents of the German electronic scene as David Hasert and Alexander Gerlach aka Niconé. This journey is about a split concept release: each artist presents a track, each track fits perfectly with the other one.
David opens with 'Der Trip', a solid and innovative trippy track that keeps the tension along the track in a futuristic dancing atmosphere. It's crazy how synths and sounds go in and out in this forward-thinking electronic music piece. 2k20. What a year so far. We, the crew at the Hive Audio label offices, are pretty much certain that absolutely nothing rolled out as planned for anyone around the globe this year and that there hasn't been much time or opportunity for celebration for anyone out there in the electronic music community or beyond either – even though we had different things in mind, especially in regards of our 10 years anniversary as a label which we already heralded with the quadruple EP series „The First Ten Years“ rolled out equally through Hive Audio and its recently launched offspring Hive Audio Dark earlier this year.

But as they say, routines are helpful to cope with difficult circumstances and therefore we're back and well proud to present you with this years summer compilation „Summer Slices 2020“, a massive 13 track overview of the recent state of the art in quality electronic club music and a glaring sign that creativity and productivity in our scene are still going strong.

About the release
„Insel Der Jugend“. A collective, an event series, a family, a lifestyle. This electronic music cosmos is based in Magdeburg, Germany. Since their early beginnings they have worked to share their passion for electronic music with the city, inviting fantastic artists to their club and open air spaces, and so creating a little island of playful spaces for people to come together.
Now they are ready to launch the label “Kompass”, and they have invited some of their closest allies to give you the very first release. Label boss Dan Cero got together with Beatamines and Stephan Zovsky for “The Island”, setting off the label start with a big bang. Their track is a dark and driving masterpiece. Flushing percussions meet a growling bassline that pulsates along piercing synth elements. It all melts together to an ethereal atmosphere.

Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
