About the release
Cinematique welcomes back the Berlin based B Selekt their label. He had his first release with Cinematique at the beginning of this year, but luckily we did not had to wait too long for his follow up release. While he also released originals and remixes on other labels like Traum, Superordinate Music and Dynamica during this period, we are very happy that he kept two beautiful new tracks for us. Dreamy and soulful stuff can be heard on the originals while Cinematique residents Aiden and Fabian Vieregge both take their own magnificent twist on the additional remixes.

"In every collective celebration, there is an extraphysical energy field created from the thoughts and feelings emanated from the participants. When a considerable number of minds and bodies are focused on a single goal, it is possible to gather a large amount of energy and through it make changes. This collective power is the theme of 'Cosmic Arena', the new EP signed by deGust, composed of three tracks that show all his versatility and genius.

The first track, 'Suspended in a Sunbeam', has a constant dialogue between kick and off-beat bass. On this solid basis, deGust explores plucks sounds recorded in the Minilogue, which are present throughout the song, giving a serious aspect of the track and that, combined with the melody, give us the feeling of bright sunrise.

In 'Mote of Dust', deGust once again explores the power of the Minilogue on a hypnotic journey. A pair of synths intersect without ever meeting, creating a constant tension. LFO's in the pitch make the final part of the notes slide, generating hypnosis and creating a deformity in what would be the most common.

The title track of the EP, 'Cosmic Arena', has a euphoric atmosphere that presents itself at the beginning, progressively developing until an epic break, with orchestrated pads serving as a backdrop for the vocal performed by deGust. The lyrics were inspired by an excerpt from the book 'Pale Blue Dot', by Carl Sagan, and talks about an image of the Earth taken by Voyager I on February 14th, 1990, bringing awareness of the magnitude of the whole, while making us remember how we are energy powers when brought together. A track that will undoubtedly be played at many festivals!"

Em toda celebração coletiva existe um campo de energia extrafísica criado a partir dos pensamentos e sentimentos emanados pelos participantes. Quando um grande número de mentes e corpos  estão voltadas para um único objetivo é possível reunir uma grande quantidade de energia e através dela causar mudanças. Esse poder coletivo é o tema de 'Cosmic Arena', novo EP assinado por deGust, com três faixas que demonstram toda sua versatilidade e genialidade.

A primeira faixa, 'Suspended in a Sunbeam', possui um diálogo constante entre kick e bass em contratempo. Sobre essa base sólida, Degust explora sons plucks gravados no Minilogue que estão presentes em toda a música, dando o aspecto sério da faixa e que, combinados com a melodia nos dão a sensação de um amanhecer luminoso. 

Em 'Mote of Dust', deGust explora mais uma vez o poder do Minilogue em uma jornada hipnótica. Um par de synths se intercalam sem nunca se encontrarem, criando uma tensão constante. LFO's no pitch fazem a parte final das notas deslizarem, gerando a hipnose e criando uma deformidade naquilo que seria o mais comum. 

A faixa-título do EP, 'Cosmic Arena', possui um clima eufórico que se apresenta já no início, se desenvolvendo de maneira progressiva até um break épico, com pads orquestrados servindo como pano de fundo para o vocal interpretado pelo próprio deGust. A letra foi inspirada em um trecho do livro 'Pale Blue Dot', de Carl Sagan, e fala sobre uma imagem da Terra tirada pela Voyager I em 14 de fevereiro de 1990, trazendo consciência da magnitude do todo, ao mesmo tempo que nos faz lembrar de como somos potências de energia quando reunidos. Kaleidoscopic colours radiate across Frankfurt skyline; "Dusk 28" opens a world of possibilities for Jannis Brinkmann and Naldoe. Shimmering synth lines blink in stratified layers of sound that bleed into each other like the evening sky. A stream of consciousness pours out in cadenced vocal, that lilts gently into the night air.

'Dusk' takes on a new character over the distinctive features of Berlin. An innovative sonic architecture is revealed as sun makes way for moon via the sounds of Robin Schellenberg. Familiar melodic tropes emerge in the gloaming before radiating outward in new warm shades. PREMIERE: Spalamp - Explore (Danito Remix) [Truesounds Music]

Last year saw the launch of Endangered’s annual VA series Worlds Within Thee, a 5-track various artists EP featuring fresh producers from all around the globe. To close out 2020, the second edition continues the tradition with another fantastic collection of dark & melodic beats.

Endangered label curator Brian Cid shares his thoughts on Worlds Within Thee II:

“Our annual label VA has become a very special release to us. It gives us the opportunity to push our sound further with some high musical talent, this time from Zürich, India, Puerto Rico, Montréal and Brooklyn. As always, I made sure each piece fell into our sonic universe and encompasses the vibrational energy intended, in this case, a deep obscure driving music force that moves forward and upwards. It is a pleasure to welcome you and present Worlds Within Thee VA II”.

Hailing from Zürich, Normen Hood opens this chapter with “The Untold Story” – a fitting title to begin with. Tension & anticipation are created with an extended breakdown in the middle, and the tone is set for the EP with a track that seamlessly fits with the melodic techno sound of the label. Dharmalogy & Strange Mind from India follow with “Consonance”, a progressive track with heavy groove, tribal percussion and subtle background melodies. The mid-point of the EP is reached with “Light Figures” by Puerto Rican artist Samot Bidot. The energy rises here with arpeggiated synth work, and lush layers of instrumentation. Manuel Nunez from Montreal is next up with “Unknown Door”, a deep, dark, and driving track that means business. To conclude this story, Brian Cid provides the hypnotic “Sol De Rosas”. Dark, yet extremely melodic, with its flowing synths, trippy production effects & powerful drops.

Worlds Within Thee II is released December 11th, 2020 on Endangered Records.

Using this not to escape, but to fully embrace reality as it is, music can help us release tensions and bring balance to our everyday life. 
Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
