Tash’s Movement Limited opens the spring season by welcoming MakhmuriaN to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Armenia, Arshavir Makhmuryan aka MakhmuriaN began his journey into electronic music as a DJ first, quickly becoming a fixture of Yerevan’s vibrant nightlight and in turn sharing the stage with Alex Niggemann, D-Formation, Robert Babicz and Space Motion, amongst others. Arshavir’s next step were to hone his production skills, eventually forming the Doperfect duo in 2017, before eventually moving forward under his distinctive MakhmuriaN moniker. With a sound that sits in the creative space between progressive and melodic house & techno, MakhmuriaN has showcased his music via Cafe De Anatolia, Somatique and his own Dialogue of Sounds imprint which acts as his primary home. Now, following his latest Dialogue of Sounds vehicle ‘I'm in Love’ to begin the year, MakhmuriaN adds Movement Limited to his resume with a two-track showcase entitled ‘Golden Times’. 

MakhmuriaN continues to explore his unique cross-genre style on the lead selection 'Boulevard De Paris'. Fluid and energetic throughout, it's a framework of warm kick drums and mesmerizing rhythms which lay the foundation for flashing percussion, rolling basslines and striking effects to create a groovy first act. Ethereal vocal fragments and meandering musical co-actions add further depth and space across the first movement, before a dreamy break fully saturates your senses onwards to a huge finale. 

The hypno-sounds of ‘Back to the Old School' follow and further cements MakhmuriaN's dance floor minded ethos. Its chunky drive is anchored by powerful beats, driving percussion and a clever coax of chanting and ethereal vocal elements. Striking chord stabs add further swing to the groove leading into a short but timely break, one where MakhmuriaN adds tension through a sharp build and full on vocal-led finale to round out the EP on strong note.

This project showcases the unique blend of Genish and Shiran's musical styles, fusing electronic beats with Middle Eastern melodies and captivating Yemeni original lyrics and vocals spread on infectious rhythms. The EP takes listeners on a mesmerising journey through a blind of distinctive musical traditions filled with grooves that are impossible to resist. Adding to the EP's allure is the exceptional talent of keyboard virtuoso, Ron Bakal. His melodies elevate the tracks to new heights, providing an exquisite touch that enhances the overall listening experience.

In the titled track “Layla” Genish builds and drops layers on top of layers until Ron’s Korg enchanting melody crawls over window-rattling bass and Shiran’s rapid-fire tenor explodes the groove’s center. The trio’s ability to shift styles is as radical as it is organic, as they drop into the nearly traditional yet futuristic mix of Yemeni language and disco touch in ‘Galbi’.

With its melodic prowess and poetic depth, this EP pushes boundaries, defies genres, and certainly embodies Genish and Shiran's immense talent and artistic vibrancy!

Astral Records continues to showcase new and exciting talent by welcoming I.AM to the label for his debut single. Amit Maimon aka I.AM entered the world of melodic house and techno as a DJ first, channeling languages of varied musical landscapes into his sets, and churning them into his own complex rollercoaster of intricate melodic techno. Gigs at some of his country's trendiest venues such as The Maze, have already made I.AM a name to watch as he now makes his production debut with ‘Falling To Pieces', alongside remixes from Paul Anthonee, Omar Khalifa & Turako.

I.AM's production debut ‘Falling To Pieces' lands with the studio touch of an established veteran, in turn finding a perfect balance between emotive vocal phrasing and club-effective grooves. Cosmic and poignant in equal measure, it's a foundation of punchy kick drums and pulsating bass lines which set the stage for symphonic synth phrasing and heartfelt vocals to steal the air. The break only furthers its dancefloor appeal with a grandiose build and powerful drop driven by heartfelt overlays and further sonic mutations.

The first interpretation of 'Falling To Pieces' is provided by label A&R Paul Anthonee. In addition to being a core part of the Astral family, Paul has achieved global recognition for his far-reaching sound. Tale Of Us, Maceo Plex, Carl Cox, Innellea, Fideles, Kevin De Vries and more have praised his work, while Running Clouds, Steyoyoke, Parquet and UV Noir have been landing spots for his sought-after tracks. In recent years Paul has chosen to primarily focus on Astral as his production home, while also adding Rafael Cerato's Ritual imprint to his resume. Now, following a remix of ‘The Arrival' by Far From Home & Retoric to begin the year, Paul returns to Astral with a huge rendition of ‘Falling To Pieces'. Opting for a more refined take on the track, the Cyprus resident conveys the mood from the original beautifully, for a slightly less vocally dominant, yet equally emotive and dramatic version that's driven by phasing chord stabs and thunderous grooves, making it perfect for the more astute dancefloors out there.

The release concludes with Omar Khalifa & Turako making their label debut with the second and final interpretation of ‘Falling To Pieces'. Upon forming a production partnership in 2023 Omar and Turako have become a duo to watch within the world of melodic house and techno. A well received remix of ‘Dive Into Your Fear' Freemann (IT) for Melodic Room would lead to a first EP project for the label to begin 2024. Now, fresh off a contribution to New Tab's popular ‘Opera' series, Omar Khalifa & Turako make their Astral debut with a darker rendition of ‘Falling To Pieces'. While maintaining the spirit of the original, Omar and Turako aim squarely at a peak hour dancefloor with a sweeping sonic experience all their own, utilizing the vocal sparingly, while adding their own unique array of darker monochromes and trance-inducing synths for an exhilarating experience to round out the release on a high note.

After a little break, Infinite Depth is back with the second release of 2024 and it’s coming from the Argentinian Martín Dubiansky. The ‘Lonely Guy’ EP contains two eccentric originals with unexpected and abstract elements. Besides, Naeiiv is back on the label with a high-energy and euphoric remix.

The first track is ‘Lonely Guy’, which from the first second intrigues with the abstract elements and a pounding bassline. Everything is guided by multiple bursts of energy, working together with the more calm break towards the main blaze.

The second original ‘No Te He Podido Olvidar’ is built around a playful and active lead. Later accompanied by Martín his self-recorded vocals, which come out really well during the break and merge seamlessly into to full composition at the final part of the track.

Naeiiv did what he can do best in his remix of ‘No Te He Podido Olvidar’. He took the euphoric element and lead of the original and managed to create a compelling, but nicely aggressive remix, while keeping his signature sound.

Especially dance music allows us to unify with the flow of the music. When we express the energy it releases within us, by just giving ourselves to it and following the spontaneous and authentic movements of our bodies, we can experience a state of connection, peace and joy. Doing this collectively, synchronously moving to the same rhythm and sharing this special experience, we feel a connection that resonates within.

With DIT KLINGT JUT we want to express our love for music and manifest the meaning it can have for all of us. We do this by providing a thoughtfully curated space for artists and labels to share their music, organizing events & live-streams and serving as a platform to share ideas on music and the creative process.
