Their sound meditation offering called 'Language of Light' is an ambient listening experience designed for deep meditation, healing, inner exploration and relaxation.  Their sound healing collaboration centers around creating a safe and grounded space to dive deep within the mind and spirit. The purpose of creating space for internal sound journeying is to resolve and release tensions, receive answers, and cultivate a deeply restful state of integrated awareness.  The Language of Light sessions often incorporate vocal meditation exercises like toning, chanting and breath work to help participants drop into the experience and connect more intimately with themselves.  It is a journey of deep listening. They have shared this experience at dozen of events, festivals and yoga studios.

Sonic Devas delivers a transcendental orchestration of meditative instrumental tones and vocal angelic melodies, mystically blended to tap into the connection to the heart, body and intuitive voice inside.

Sonic Devas is a group of professional women musicians, sound healers and wellness leaders working to bring sacred sound and meditation together in one powerful presentation. Featuring a variety of instrumentation and a vocal toning choir, the sound envelops the listener and is meant to assist in deepening meditation practice, transcending ordinary states and helping people relax into the moment. Participation and singing is encouraged by attendees to collectively raise the consciousness of not only the room, but to assist in setting intention to raise the positive vibration of the planet.

Back in July 2019, Ian Montgomery was on location shooting drone footage in Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland) during the largest ice sheet melt on record. Changes in our climate around the world are now manifesting quicker and we notice this more and more in the abrupt changes in weather patterns and water distribution. On this Earth day, as we are required to stay inside, in turn giving our planet a much needed break. This is great time to tune into the power of our planet, and give reverence to the balance Mama Gaia works to maintain as well as reflect on our relationship to it.

The music represents the vast nature of the Greenland landscape, dominated by mountains, snow and ice and untouched beauty of the land and sky. 3 new compositions – Kalaallit Nunnat, Ulloq and Unnuaq were composed for Ian’s new films from that trip. The other three tap into the spaciousness and meditative quality of the first three.

It is interesting releasing this record during COVID-19 quarantine. Like the small and large icebergs and ice rafts drifting along in the current, We are physical isolated from one another and adrift as we await our next destination ... Changing form and shape… melting away the old to bring in the new… adaptation and survival.

Within this sea of change, our rigid patterns and known foundations break into icebergs big and small and we begin to experience the spaciousness that allows for new forms to emerge.

These compositions reflect the spaciousness from which we can connect to our own revelations. I hope these sounds allow you to heal, meditate deeply, expand and find new beginnings.

The best way to listen to these recordings is with high quality headphones. Kalaallit Nunaat was mixed in binaural/spatial audio using DearVRPro by Dear Reality to give you a more surround sound listening experience, similar to how we listen with our ears in our environment. In essence, it is a more 3D experience.
