Spirits were high and the bass was six feet deep at Dive Bar Disco’s Dísco de los Muertos when Teriyaki Anarki Saki legend Dee Dee took to the platters at the 11th hour. It was the moment everyone had been dying for. The atmosphere was electric, the drip was deadly, and sweat beaded down the walls at Lucky Schmuck, a dive bar par excellence in Thornbury, Melbourne’s inner north.

What followed was an hour of power with full-tilt, no-holds-barred driving house, pulsating electro sounds, and hypnotic, groovy techno, delivered with Dee Dee’s trademark relentlessness and masterful precision.

Along with being a complete legend, Luke McD would have to be one of the hardest working djs in town.  It's an absolute honour that we were able to feature him at Dísco de los Muertos and we look forward to having him back again soon.  Here is tearing it up for us at Lucky Schmuck.  You can almost smell the sweat on the walls.

Slieker was heaving away upstairs when Nick fronted up to the decks at Dive Bar Disco.  We were having some sound issues so started bringing down an assortment of speakers to try to rescue the down stairs sesh.  We didn't want him to leave. Out came the Gen 2 JBL Eon from 2002, mainlined direct in to the struggling QSC monitor speaker which had taken on duties far beyond its means. With a few tweaks there was a nice warm bass emanating from the corner of the room as it filled with our comrades from the upstairs dance floor and this Dive Bar was brought to life soundtracked by a grinning and very satisfied looking Tahl.

Toni and Matt came to the decks at Le Chalet Discothèque:Duex and set the tone for what was to be an outstanding evening of high spirits and supersonic sounds. Warming up the platters for the fifth instalment of Dive Bar Disco's foray into the realm of thumping and jumping, and all 'round bangingness, Toni and Matt fronted up, dropped them bangers and destroyed the dance floor. It came together easily we hit up Ev and Ehsan, and they jumped on board without hesitation. After almost 14 years away from performing live techno together, having them play for us was an absolute honour. Both are accomplished musicians who’ve stayed active with their own projects over the years, and they slipped seamlessly back into the Bubble & Squeak groove, delivering an hour of high powered acid infused techno for the merry throng of snow bunnies at Le Chalet Discothèque: Deux. Here’s hoping we see more of them kicking around and dropping bombs as Bubble & Squeak.

Spirits were soaring and the Funktion-One was humming with warmth in the bottom end as Teriyaki Anarki Saki Royalty,  Dee Dee took to the decks at Dive Bar Disco’s second outing at Bad Decisions Bar in Fitzroy. Melbourne legends Bubble & Squeak had already lit the fuse, and Dee Dee wasted no time in setting the whole place ablaze.
Dee Dee treated us to another session of dfloor floor mayhem, pulsating tech house, driving house, and hypnotic techno grooves delivered with a serving of thick bass. It was peak-time magic in the depths of winter.
