Like finding a tape you made when you were experimenting with primitive equipment....You make music/art with what you have. 

In this case, this is an improvised tune created in those "studios in a box" software, VST soft synths provided by #SpitfireAudio and special effects provided by #AudioThing. 

The idea of this "sound rendering" or "Audio Sketch" is finding that thing you were looking for.

A Vein Of Dark Spectra

When creating music, I find sounds that can be introspective, collected, and touched upon the language of the placement of notes through time. 

This improvised experiment is one such "audio sketch" (or "sound rendering", if you will).

Dance Of The Sojourning Spheres

".....Layering different sounds...." as The Orb puts it, I find 3 interesting soft synthesizers and combine them in a thematic way. I feel like the tones touch on a vibe that seems rediscovered yet drawing up into the new.

No Longer Contained

Layering 2 soft synths together with these unique patches to get this tapestry of wild tones. It's like a trip into inner and outer space.

WarpSpeed Dub

After finding some neat sounds that fill in the midi drums on my keyboard better than a Casio stock sounds, I make a beat and do a quick jam. Have fun.

Synthwaving While On The Phone

I found a pretty cool simulated tone for an e-piano, and a new instrument, the simulated theremin called "Terrormin" that is played with your mouse. Throw in some ring modulation and an arpeggio, and we have this improvised weirdness.

The Dark Alleys For Androids On Drugs

I have found interesting ways to use my cellular device as an instrument with the various applications available for it. Playground was one of my favorite ones, and i am very sad that development has ceased since there's loads of potential.  The "Inia" one on Playground is still fertile ground to play and compose with, so I modified the feed and got this take.

Raga Space Time

My alias is Doctor C or as my friends also know me as "Doctor C-ton" as well. I am the audio doctor on whatever knobs, dials, sliders, buttons that I can push and how ever I can plug in some sort of signal processor and warp sounds into auditory expressions.

The tunes I have expressed here are in the vein of improvised audio experiments, or as I call them, Sound Renderings, or Audio Sketchbooks. 

As a visual artist as well, I wish to create some kind of image in your mind, or a kind of sonic experience. 

I have been recording music personally for years, and started with a 4-track reel to reel, and have managed  to transcribe them to digital, and have since gone digital. With the advent of "studio in a box" software, myself and my midi controller sculpt sounds in the digital realm, and a new universe is possible. 

The early recordings done on reel to reel, use a few effect processors, cheap keyboards and electric guitar as well as creative wiring schemes or primitive computers. Those were very experimental jams.  Please check out my visual arts on Instragram! My handle is "doctorcton"
