"One day way back in our student housing days we were working on a remix and accidentally came up with a riff that had nothing to do with the song we were remixing. It sounded like it could be 'Electro'! We decided it needed it's own song. So we wrote 'Yellow Brick'. It probably got it's name from being a loud (brick) angry and acidic (yellow) song. “Ether came to fruition very quickly, in the course of about 2 weeks, which was the shortest writing time of all the tracks featured on the album. It’s all centered around the vocal loop which I felt set an ethereal tone. I wanted to build around this, using tonal pads, and space-like reverb to make everything sound soothing, airy and celestial. I think the result is very reminiscent of something you’d here in a space/science-fiction movie soundtrack.”
