I wanted this to be the first track from Drive I shared with you all not because it's the biggest or the best, but because it's probably my personal favourite.

The album was basically inspired by a road trip I took with my wife from New York to Los Angeles last year, taking in Route 66 and numerous ghost towns, deserts, mountain passes, dirt roads etc, and I came up with the melody for this one towards the end, somewhere in the Mojave Wilderness as we finally made it into California, the setting sun of the West in the distance. A long way from home, and still fairly far from our final destination, but the end was in sight. And that's the moment the track basically came to describe. It isn't really a club banger, or a club track. It's just something I felt like writing.

Anyway - enough deep shit. Still feels slightly surreal to be sharing this body of work after waiting so long. More soon.

July 28th. Why is that date so significant...

10 years ago, it marked the beginning of the Coldharbour adventure, with the release of the first Coldharbour Selections; headlined by a little known track we all love called Blueberry. And as the label has grown, so has the love and adulation towards the fans who belielve in it - the simple reason why Coldharbour Day was born.

Even though publically I have kept quiet about it, I'm so proud that we have hit the 10 year anniversary. And in order to pay tribute, I decided to take on an even bigger challenge by delivering a 5 hour set for Coldharbour Day this year, despite all the time demands of touring, marathon sets at festivals and GDJB, including the Sunrise Set.

The mix allowed me to start things off nice and deep, and weave things towards a crescendo with tracks that have reosnated with me the most in recent and distant times. The preparation spanned a couple of months again, with plenty of late nights the past couple of weeks, just getting it finished in Ibiza this morning. 

This is your day, and it's another gift I hope you will enjoy and remember for a long time to come.

Here is the first of 3 Samplers featuring extended versions of tracks from Solarstone’s recently released and critically acclaimed ‘Electronic Architecture 3’ album. Each Sampler spans deep progressive to uplifting and Pure Trance and this first EP features 4 of Solarstone’s ‘Reconstructions’. Leading the charge is Philthy Chit’s ‘Colours’, a 128bpm melodic percussively punchy piece of trance music. Famed for his consistently top-notch releases on labels like Bonzai and Saturate audio, Philthy Chit a.k.a. Phil Taylor knows how to make a catchy yet credible slab of club music. Track 2 comes from Russia’s Soarsweep. ‘Thistle’ is built around a deep and persistent analogue synth line with echoes of Sander Kleinenberg’s ‘My Lexicon’ in its blood. Greek luminary Basil O’Glue’s ‘Seven Sages’ is a majestic example of deep and progressive trance music, rumbling sub bass supports a reverb-soaked set of synth timbres and the huge riff which is unleashed at the break will please all Global Underground die-hards. Wrapping things up is Mistol Teams ‘Algarrobal’, an understated heads-down bona-fide progressive house workout. 4 very different cuts, one classy EP.

A well respected duo that have been an ever present here at Infrasonic over the years, Tucandeo are set for another grand stand year and their new concept will no doubt be one of the reasons why.

Receptive & New World, both of whom are key staffers in Abora's A&R department, make their debut on their own label with the truly uplifting track "Hope at Dawn".

The Original Mix leads off with a surging bassline complemented by subtle synths and guitars. The character of the buildup slowly intensifies as the synths and instruments become more defined. As the breakdown arrives, warm pads set the backdrop for a strong guitar melody accompanied by an emotional piano riff. At the turning point of the breakdown, the soaring lead is introduced and the emotions begin to swell towards the peak of energy. The main chorus explodes into an emotional, melodic ride, while the piano and arpeggiated synths carry you through to the end. A track suited for the emotional fans.

Abora's very own A&R manager, Pizz@dox, offers us a very different remix. The heavy melody and strong bassline create a sound fit for the clubs. The buildup hits much harder and makes you want to dance, while in the breakdown you will hear a heavenly vocal that carries you into blissful peace. The main chorus releases with deep bass kicks and melodic beats while the vocals keep serenading you to the end. A track suited for the dancefloors.

Magdelayna's Chilled Remake starts off with soothing waves and arpeggios that provide the atmosphere of the track. The increasing synth rolls keep the atmosphere of the track strong and serene as they guide you to eternal peace. The light percussion sounds personify a beating heart and give life to the music. This track will surely help you drift off to a distant dreamland while the finishing piano notes will soothe your mind and soul.

The release also includes a Radio Edit.
