Somewhere Between You and a Love Song

Conceived in Dixon, MT, born and raised in St. Ignatius, MT in 1983, Dixon St. Ignatius was raised an only child to a single mother, helping her take care of her elderly parents from an early age.  His mother had met and married his step-dad when he was nine or ten and by then he had already taken on facades to define himself.

He's always been more comfortable with a mask.  Thanks to bullies and the girls who fawn over them, he came to understand early on that he doesn't fit the common definition of attractive.  He was never pursued except by kids who wanted to kick his ass.  He was an easy target in a small town.  He lost himself in music, latching on to the mythical proportions of the artists, chief among them Tupac.

It was inspired by Tupac, and a high school crush that he started to write, love letters to her turned into poems, poems turned into raps, and raps turned into a desire to produce the kind of music he didn't have access to.  He's started small and simple, hoping to build a label and roster behind him.

This is the genesis.
