Next up for the podcast series we have DECADANCE for you who made a 1 hour mix.

Hailing from Wicklow, Ireland, DECADANCE’s dissatisfaction with the monotony of rural Ireland was alleviated through experiencing central Europe’s illustrious rave scene whilst living in the Netherlands. Now permanently based in Amsterdam, his productions aim to deliver hard hitting, fast paced techno whilst building cinematic atmospheres through the creation of emotional pads and energetic acid leads, often conveying feelings of euphoria and nostalgia. 

His style of mixing is chaotic, aggressive & inspired by the old school tradition of transitioning tracks quickly whilst throttling the faders in the process. His passion for more old school, groove centric techno has intensified since experiencing the underground sound of Amsterdam which has influenced the drum programming of his most recent productions, which aim to present hard techno with the rhythmic sound of the early 2000s in mind.

He has released heavily supported tracks with labels such as Eradys Records & Techno Wereld, with his debut vinyl release scheduled for next year with an infamous Parisian label.  Beyond this, his music has filled the four walls of Berghain regularly in addition to frequenting sets by the likes of Dax J, Kobosil, SPFDJ & Shlømo.

In addition to this, he is a founder & resident of Dublin based collective Thump, which has become renowned for throwing chaotic raves in unconventional locations, dedicated to further broadcasting the pleasures of hard and fast techno music.

MASS Sessions #266 | Teri Makasih

Teri Makasih is a Spanish DJ based in Madrid. She has been active since 2016 but no doubt, it was at the beginning of 2021 when she began to be popular inside the Techno scene of her hometown. She comes from a family of musicians and composers, and she is a pianist herself.

Her interest in electronic music started from a very young age. In fact, by the time she was only 8, she already listened to a multitude of artists who were quite popular in Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Chicago or Detroit.

However, during her adolescence, she focused mainly on Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Hardcore, Drum&Bass and Break&Beat. That diversity of interest in such variety of music genres allows her today to make her sets always searching for the combination of as many elements of different musical styles as possible.

Currently, she is concentrating on the production of her own tracks and her projection in the European music scene, which began last October with her debut in Lisbon, Portugal.

Ryan Robinson is a techno producer/DJ and founder of “YAWA records” from Birmingham, UK. Ryan, who also goes by the name Skoden in the music industry, loves creating hard and industrial style tracks through his label.

It was in 2014 when Skoden discovered the world of electronic dance music and techno. It made him change his perception of music. It was like love at first sight; it made Ryan figure his career out; he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Once he stepped into the underground world of music, there was no looking back. Learning new things and making himself more familiar with the world of techno music. He wanted to try and play everything this genre had to offer. Soon he made himself familiar with the art of DJ’ing, after performing at various underground platforms, Skoden was still hungry for more. He always had room to learn more skills and wanted to compose his music and create his sounds; he realized that being a DJ was not enough. To satisfy his desire to learn more about music, he learned about all the mechanics of music production, worked hard, refined his music, and created some hard hitting techno tracks. Having learned all the ins and outs of music production, Skoden established his industrial techno label, “YAWA Records” in 2020. He has since, produced some of the hard/industrial techno beats through his platform. Being supported by some of the big guns in the industry, Skoden is entertaining his fans with the fast and energetic techno beats he creates and plays.

Davide Carbone, music producer/DJ, and label manager, born and raised in the Vesuvian area, he developed his career in Berlin, where he starts to develop several aliases and collaborations, working abreast with a musical collective, developing a strong circle of labels.

 D. Carbone's sound can be described as Bold Industrial Acid Techno, with Hard and fast nuances. His Career is Characterized by long time collaborations with names like AnD, Ascion, Gaja, Cj Bolland, WarinD, Luciano Lamanna, Hypnoskull, Shapednoise, and others, to name a few, establishing a strong reputation in the Industrial, Acid and Hard Techno scenes, Honzo is the representation of most experimental Davide's side, focused on more IDMish acid music. Davide is not only an active part of his own labels but he also collaborates with Scuderia, Innersurface music, Ophism, Mord, Black Sun, Rave Or Die, Acid Avengers, Arboretum, Haunter records, just to mention some.His Dj set is characterized by strong rave energy which leads people in upper state body and mental experience.

Jorge e Natan possuem uma vida de experiências juntos e desde muito cedo foram apaixonados pelo experimentalismo em sua total amplitude. Ingressaram na cena eletrônica underground sozinhos e foram conhecendo cada etapa de forma intensa, até fazer parte deste movimento de forma completa.

A criação deste projeto parte de uma paixão vinda diretamente das pistas, apresentando uma performance repleta de ruídos, sons inesperados e estruturas obscuras.

Jorge possui características excêntricas e marcantes, desde a fixação por sons distorcidos, frenéticos, batidas brutais e violentas. Já Natan possui alta fixação pelo singular, pela interrupção de batidas altíssimas cheias de força com breaks profundos, imensos e com melodias dramáticas.

Donos de um visual marcante e agressivo, repassam de forma direta toda essa agressão visual em suas sonoridades e transições.

A junção dessas duas personalidades tão distintas e ao mesmo tempo tão complementares, resultam em uma experiência intensa que promete sensações que variam do
mais alto patamar da agressividade sonora até a isenção total de qualquer ruído.

Envolvidos com a cena desde cedo, ambos contribuem de forma intensa ao cenário Dark da região sul do Brasil (Santa Catarina).

Além de estarem envolvidos com toda a movimentação cultural que ocorre, hoje são fundadores da fashion brand Tegron Clothing e co-fundadores do núcleo Phobia Project/Phobia Skin.

TEGRON é um projeto musical focado em Techno, Hard, Hardcore e Industrial, aliando essas características sonoras e visuais, com origens em suas experiências.

Lady Maru is a roman now Berlin based electronic producer and post punk musician. she became  active as a noise guitarist for post punk and no wave bands whereas her dj career started some years later  djing in clubs and underground raves, always trying to combine 2 influences: art punk and techno. Her actual sound as a producer and as a dj is mostly based on hardtechno with acid , industrial and ebm influences. she  is a Gegen Berlin and Cieloterra Roma resident dj.
