Boasting an impressive triad of critically acclaimed releases since launching back in April 2022 (Here To Stay EP, Starlight EP and Disconnect), burgeoning underground house imprint Scenarios now looks to continue its enviable run of first-rate studio output as it unveils its fourth official offering, with Looking In The Sky.

Due for worldwide release on Friday, November 25, Looking In The Sky marks the first single on the label to feature all five constituent members of the Scenarios collective – Emanuel Satie, Maga, Tim Engelhardt, Sean Doron and Yulia Niko – who team up with Berlin-based vocalist Paul Brenning for one of the biggest records on the label to date.

Ebbing and flowing with hypnotic purpose, the spellbinding vocal cut delivers everything we’ve come to expect and more from the prolific collective, who continue to showcase their innate knack for creating deep, emotive and intelligent electronic music of the very highest calibre. A sophisticated and emotionally charged offering, characterised by dynamic synth structures, Brenning’s lingering vocals and a heady concoction of pulsating four-four beats, Scenarios’ trademark composite of deep, melodic, club music shines front and centre, as the six artists pull out all the stops with a rousing dancefloor weapon.

Established earlier this year as an all-encompassing artist collective, label and events brand, Scenarios has taken the electronic music world by storm over the course of 2022 with their intelligent, exquisitely crafted productions and instantly recognisable sound palette. Known the world over for their unique underground energy and standout live performances, the collective has forged a deep and melodic sound all of their own, which is as organic and ethereal as it is experimental. 

Paul Brenning is a German producer and singer-songwriter based in Berlin. Having carved out a reputation as an in-demand electronic music vocalist over the past few years, Brenning has top-lined for an impressive array of artists, including Re.You, Avantgart Talabot, Fennec & Wolf and Myny, and has released on leading labels including Ritter Butzke Records, SOLIDE, Incroyable Music and Songspire Records, to name a few.

'The mobilee resident M.E.M.O. is back on the label with a solo track as well as an astonishing collaboration! Pig & Dan and M.E.M.O. have been nourishing their relationship for 15 years now, sharing and creating music together like previous joint work on Yoshitoshi or Bedrock Records. 
For this upcoming release the three producers got together again to experience an intermediate sound that defines them all well together and create 'Mindsense'. 

Tile track 'Cairo' is another solo work by the Spanish talent, inspired by a trip to Cairo for a Mobilee showcase some time back.'

Motip White continued to chart his own course on his return to XYZ with the Long Shadow EP earlier this year. The Cologne-based producer has never settled for the predictable norm, working his way through projects from all corners of the musical landscape on his eclectic journey. With releases on the likes of Innervisions & Correspondant, Motip's productions drip in analog tones & bespoke indie-punk influence.

Continuing the journey of Long Shadow, we welcome two riveting remixers to take the reins on Motip's original material.

Super Flu need no introduction, as this pair of melodic maestro's is one of the most influential acts in our modern scene. Whether as founders of the illustrious Monaberry, or through their releases with the likes of Stil Vor Talent & Disco Halal, its an honor to welcome Super Flu for their XYZ debut. They twist the title track Long Shadow into a low slung bomb, retaining Motip's jaw dropping vocal chops and the main heaving hook. Super Flu add a linear edge, shifting deep into club territory with defiant dance floor moments on offer.

On the flip, we welcome back a dear friend of the label - Montreal's Dexter Crowe. As a founding member of XYZ, we're beyond thrilled to have Crowe in the driver's seat for Motip's instant classic - Tiny House. The Halaken-head soothes a steaming bassline into a sultry and crisp burner. The Aussie punctuates the original's ominous melodies, while mobilizing momentum via metallic synth-work during an emphatic. With the OG mix already a constant tool for the likes of Dixon and  me, Dexter's remix continues to raise the bar for Tiny House.

Bora Uzer is a Turkish songwriter, singer and live artist. His music career began at the age of just 17 after receiving an invitation to study jazz at the Rotterdam Conservatoire of Music.

A journey across two decades and multiple continents has inspired the effervescent multi-instrumentalist and wordsmith, fuelling a drive to connect the dance-floor with a blend of thrilling electronic strands, mesmerising melodics and captivating vocal work in what is now his inimitable, energising sound.
