Cross & Avocado:

Duo Infernale bestehend aus dem Kölner Produzenten Cross (@theoneandonlycross) alias Luki und dem DJ Avocado (@avocadoofficial) alias Stefan, der sich mit seinen energetischen Sets als Resident DJ im Kölner Odonien und Bookings wie dem Panama Festival, SonneMondSterne oder den Katermukke Showcases längst über die Stadtgrenzen Kölns hinweg einen Namen gemacht hat.

Die beiden Freunde lernten sich 2013 kennen, als Avocado im Odonien Bus eines seiner berüchtigten 6 Stunden-Sets ablieferte. Als sie feststellten, dass sie musikalisch ähnliche Vorstellungen haben, war das Projekt Cross & Avocado schnell beschlossene Sache. Nach 5 Jahren wohnen die beiden nun beide fest in ihrer Wahlheimat Köln und treiben ihr Projekt mit Leidenschaft voran - jeder beherrscht sein Handwerk und Stück für Stück auch das des anderen. Und die gemeinsame Arbeit trägt Früchte: schon mit dem ersten gemeinsamen Track "Artificial Life" schafften es die beiden auf den Radar des Berliner Labels Criminal Bassline (@criminalbassline), künstlerische Heimat von Artists wie Mike Book, DirrtyDishes oder Daniel Jaeger. Im Mai 2019 haben die beiden ihre erste gemeinsame EP auf Klexos Records released - mit dem gleichen Namen wie ihr club-erprobter Kracher 'Savior'.

Für einen kurzen Zeitraum hatte ich meinen Auftrag aus den Augen verloren und bin zurück in alte Gewohnheiten gefallen. Ich muss meinen Fokus wieder erlangen. Ich sammle mich kurz und berichte meinem Umfeld vom nächsten großen ComRa Event. Leider stoßen meine Bemühungen auf Desinteresse. Die Leute hier scheinen die Aufmerksamkeitsspanne eines Eichhörnchen zu haben. Ihre Aufnahmefähigkeit scheint vom ganzen Schall und Rauch beeinträchtigt zu sein. Ich beschließe daher nach der nächsten Kippe die Runde wieder zu verlassen. Draußen angekommen blendet das Tageslicht meine Augen. Doch schon nach wenigen Sekunden gewöhnen sie sich an das neue Umfeld. Daher lasse ich die obligatorische Sonnenbrille probeweise mal weg. Anstatt sich, wie ansonsten üblich, vor der Sonne bestmöglich abzuschotten, genieße ich ihre lebensspendende Energie. Diese seelische Aufmunterung kommt mir sehr gelegen und weckt in mir wieder neuen Tatendrang.

Diynamic has constantly been an underground electronic music label on the rise. The motto: Do It Yourself. Founded in 2006 by Solomun and Adriano Trolio in Hamburg, nowadays undeniably amongst the hottest imprints worldwide: Diynamic Showcase events all around the globe, Diynamic Festivals in Amsterdam, Berlin and Brazil, two own weekly residencies on Ibiza including the infamous “Solomun +1” events at legendary night club Pacha and the Diynamic Outdoor event series as well as own stages at major music festivals everywhere.
