As residents of the Cityfox New York events, it was high time @adriatique had the chance to flex their repertoire and range beyond a 2hr peaktime slot. On April 11, did they ever. After superb sets by Mark Slee (@mcslee), Atish (@atish) and then Martin Buttrich live (@martin-buttrich), Adrian & Adrian took the decks before a packed and very ready house, playing on a super tight KV2 Audio system. Very simply, the greatest testament to this set is that they started at 4am and when they finished at about 9, most on the dance floor remained to hear them through the end. We've never seen so many people stay out so late in NYC, which says it all.

With ‘Analog Junkies’ we welcome Canadian duo Beyond Physical to ICONYC with their latest two track masterpiece. Beyond Physical who have been causing quite a stir with their melodic techno / progressive house influenced productions make their debut with 2 stunning original tracks. Passionate about their métier and adept in a variety of genres, ambience is an integral component in the duo's production sound as techno, deep and progressive house are closely tied to sensations ranging across the spectrum from melancholy to delight. Now interchanging these differing moods into audile form.

Their latest outing shows maturity and musical development, as we kick off proceedings with ‘Dark Angel’, a collaboration with Veytik. The track opens with all the right notes, as the expressive, progressive house influenced track grabs you from the word go, interspersing with roomy glowing vibes and filtered stabs, driving leads culminating into an energetic drop to round off this brilliant underground crowd pleaser, with its understated yet driving bassline powering the groove along. Beyond Physical & Veytik manage to keep the energy up, subtlety allowing the driving feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape.

To close out the duo's debut EP we have the deep, hypnotic title track ‘Analog Junkies’, which is interspersed with subtle effective percussion a profound deep-tech groove and indie influence, turning this one into an underground anthem with a very soul tangling appeal. In short, this EP is everything we have come to expect from Beyond Physical and a wonderful way to start their affiliation with ICONYC, as they once more show their sound remains as fresh, super-charged and relevant as it ever was.

Croatian producer Inverse releases his first EP on Plaisirs Sonores Records. 'Diamonds from Lady Evelyn' is a deep, delicate and surprising track. Perfect for a mysterious and mellow opening. His second track on the EP, 'Jungle Illusion' is a bit more energetic and transmits a nature soundscapes ambiance. Danish duo Baime make a stunning remix from 'Jungle Illusion' bringing it to a peak hour track ! A beautiful and memorable lead occupies the drops. Diynamic has constantly been an underground electronic music label on the rise. The motto: Do It Yourself. Founded in 2006 by Solomun and Adriano Trolio in Hamburg, nowadays undeniably amongst the hottest imprints worldwide: Diynamic Showcase events all around the globe, Diynamic Festivals in Amsterdam, Berlin and Brazil, two own weekly residencies on Ibiza including the infamous “Solomun +1” events at legendary night club Pacha and the Diynamic Outdoor event series as well as own stages at major music festivals everywhere.
