@zaveridj recorded this set live at SafariBurn at Lolldaiga Hills in Kenya on New Year’s Day. 

Given this was a New Year’s Day set, Yash decided to play a selection of his favourite 90s / 00s tracks. Think ‘Guilty Pleasures’ without the guilt… Think Bangers & Trash… but only mildly trashy.  

The setting was out of this world. 1am on New Year’s Day, surrounded by sixty friends in the middle of the bush. The elephants, giraffes and zebras were all dancing too. 

The crowd was in a great mood and rather than trying to be artistic, this was Yash’s unashamed attempt to bring smiles to people’s faces. Enjoy.

┋Kaldera presents Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr.72┋

Die #072 kommt diesmal vom sympathischen DJ &amp; Producer Kaldera aus Berlin. Er vertritt einen sehr tanzbaren und housigen Sound, doch das sagt noch längst nicht alles über ihn aus. Sein Stil hat sich in den letzten Jahren stark weiterentwickelt, dabei steht seine Leidenschaft für Melodie und Rhythmus stets im Vordergrund und das er mit diesem Mix gut bei der Masse ankommt, das zeigen nicht zuletzt auch seine beiden Releases auf Karera und Wonnemusik.

Kaldera sagt über sich selbst, er habe nicht die Absicht der beste DJ überhaupt zu sein oder die gesamte Palette der elektronischen Musik bedienen zu wollen, vielmehr möchte er den Leuten eine wundervolle und unbeschwerte Zeit auf dem Dancefloor bereiten. Sich auf das Erlebnis Kaldera einzulassen, das heißt Zeit und Raum zu vergessen und dabei die Seele fliegen zu lassen. Der beste Beweis für eine typische “Kaldera Flugstunde” ist sein 60 minütiger Podcast höchst selbst und dafür möchten wir uns ganz herzlich bei ihm bedanken.

Diynamic has constantly been an underground electronic music label on the rise. The motto: Do It Yourself. Founded in 2006 by Solomun and Adriano Trolio in Hamburg, nowadays undeniably amongst the hottest imprints worldwide: Diynamic Showcase events all around the globe, Diynamic Festivals in Amsterdam, Berlin and Brazil, two own weekly residencies on Ibiza including the infamous “Solomun +1” events at legendary night club Pacha and the Diynamic Outdoor event series as well as own stages at major music festivals everywhere.
