One of the newest additions to PRMD Music/ICON’s roster, Dear David‘s latest has already amassed a list of credentials that rival any release of the Stockholm-based producer’s past. Touted by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, ‘Hypnotized‘ receives a facelift from Swiss duo Fat Sushi two months after the original was released. A daunting a chugging techno cut, Fat Sushi infuse the original with an unrelenting bassline that is eventually joined by shimmering synths and swift claps. Joining previous remixes on ICONS from Lost Kings, Beckwith, The Rooftop Boys, and Made In Norway among many others, Fat Sushi’s addition to one of dance music’s burgeoning rosters has arrived in the form of a high calibre take on Dear David’s highly-acclaimed original.

Based in Dortmund, Kittball have been going from strength to strength since they launched back in 2005, providing upbeat dancefloor focused house music to an enormous fanbase. They now continue their various artist series, 'Kittball Konspiracy', which features music from the label's key artists as well as talented emerging talent. Their sixteenth instalment includes a German Brigante remix of 'Reliquia' – a collaboration between Tube & Berger and Paji originally released on the imprint in 2014 - not to mention stand out cuts from the likes of Steve Hope, Yago Luna, Jojo Angel, Rob Kali, and more.
Jojo Angel's 'Diarabee' kicks off the pack, offering spirited vocal samples and peppy drums to provide a lively atmosphere to start. Stereo Express follows with the melodic 'Makaveli', before German Brigante takes things into deeper territories with the 'Terraccita' remix of 'Reliquia'. A bumpy bassline joins whirring atmospherics in Yolanda Be Cool 'How Acid Started', leading into murky chord progressions in Silash & Doppe 'Donut Lie' until Yago Luna presents a thumping house roller complete with energetic vocals in 'Fresh Sneakers'.
Nearing the end, Steve Hope nods towards classic stateside house with infectious piano stabs in 'Stranger Than House', making way for Rob Kali who blends exuberant percussion with a soulful male voice in the suspenseful 'Stimulation'. Concluding matters, Made in Riot and Zacharias Tiempo present 'Right' - a euphoric journey filled with tightly knitted pads and soaring synths.

Booka Shade reveal 'We fell in love with the sound of UNDERHER when we heard their remix of our song 'Confessions', and instantly knew we wanted a collaboration with them'. Following this remix last year, UNDERHER now return to Blaufield alongside the imprint bosses to unveil 'Chemical Release'. The resulting collaboration pairs UNDERHER's trademark lyricism with Booka Shade’s high-quality production, in a driving ode to obsessively intense new relationships. It comes out in a package that includes an original and radio mix, plus remixes from each act - allowing both Booka Shade and UNDERHER to explore their own individual styles. UNDERHER are a live electronic duo comprised of Tunisian-Canadian former DJ and tech enthusiast Kalden Bess & Italian-Canadian classically trained singer / songwriter Jessica Abruzzese. Their sensual take on deep electronica has landed them official remixes for the likes of Moby and U2, as well as gigs at respected venues including Stereo Montreal, Katerblau Berlin and Blue Marlin Dubai. They will be playing their debut headline London show at the Shacklewell Arms on the 6th March, just ahead of the collaboration's release.

Track of the Day: Metrik “Hackers”

ELAX’s latest “BESCIO” EP on Diynamic is very much like that favourite summer festival weekend that we are all looking forward to. Opening track “Bescio” is just full of raw energy synths, exciting percussive solos, a hypnotic bassline and disco drums that we hope will never end. Hot days and even hotter nights resonate in its essence. 

Then “With Lou” – we are packing up our things, reminiscing of this marvellous time we’ve just had together. Like warriors after battle, exhausted but endlessly happy. We see the last sunrays at the horizon of an orange sky that slowly turns pink and purple, as alternating breezes of warm and cold air ruffle through our hair. Wondering when we are going to do this all over again.

Just in time for the silly season, Stil vor Talent presents The Last Trip 2 - a 10 track mini compilation that is laden with aural gifts from five international techno producers.

Laying the foundation for this club-ready collection of tracks is French producer Kiko, bringing a certain je ne sais quoi with the full spectral ‘Echoes of Light’ and the multifaceted ‘Panavision.’

Thousand Sirens follows up with with the driving psychedelia of ‘Kahlil,’ priming the dancefloor for an intrepid journey with ‘Humanizm,’ a trippy, bass-heavy track interwoven with powerful, thought-inspiring vocal samples.

Hot to trot VNTM commands attention with his unique riff on dark, underground techno interspersed with progressive melodies in. ‘Echoist’ packs a punch, and ‘Orange Skies’ delivers the roundhouse kick with its upbeat, squelchy synths.

Drunken Kong raises the tempo with the expansive ‘Uncovered,’ laced with exotic strings in a nod to his Asian heritage. ‘The Eye’ certain to engage the dancefloor with its charismatic tones and dynamic percussion.

You would be forgiven for expecting a genie to jump out of a bottle as you travel through the lush soundscapes of Heerhorst’s ‘Magic Carpet.’ Riding into the sunset is ‘1001,’ rounding off the compilation with its special brand of hearty, industrial darkness.

So deep you’ll choke on it, so dark it will take your retinas a while to readjust to the light, it’s safe to say this is a compilation for the dirtiest of dancefloors.

Belgian mastermind Nico Morano lands in Sincopat with three remarkable original tracks that show his brilliant perception of Electronic Music. On remix duties we are proud to present another high talent from the same country: Biesmans.
'Merci Paris' is a journey of strong and hypnotic elements that develop a rich composition focused on the club reaction. Joris Biesmans takes the track upsidedown and offers a mixture of indie and disco where new synths are involved. The break and the never-ending buildup will reach madness in the dancefloor. Both producers got really a huge connection between original and remix. On 'Haide' we find sharp and organic synth notes connected to a smart beat offering a charming balance. Nico closes with 'Akum', a perfect mood and atmosphere created with a couple of crazy synths.
