There were etchings in the board at the front of the room in which they sat. Perched upon old wooden chairs they were in the furthest classroom from the main corridor, waiting for an instructor who seemed as if he might not show up. Gazing out the window, down towards the people outside, he watched as they came and went from the old building. They were free for the day yet he was not. There wasn't much noise in the room but for the occasional chatter from a group at the back of the class, he didn't know what to expect from a lecture which had been rather whimsically described as 'a course in miracles'... 

Argy is back with a whole bunch of friends on a new EP for Renaissance Records. He's asked a collective of producers to remix material from his album 'The Interior Journey' and this time around the release features reworks from Rodriguez Jr, Loew and Magit Cacoon. The Rodriguez Jr. remix instantly caught our ear with it's progressive melodies and ethereal, dreamy soundscapes.

The ‚Picture:' series of Diynamic is a document in time, showcasing an artist's current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualize and understand the artist in a certain period. It is a mini-album with various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

If you are familiar with Johannes’s work, which is deeply rooted in Jazz and Classical music, you can expect this 4/4 electronic record to be as analogue as you can possibly imagine, with sonic textures ranging from vigorously raspy to velvety smooth - so vivid you can almost feel them with your fingertips. This organic feel has always been a focus and forté of Johannes’ - using analogue synthesizers and hardware instead of relying entirely on a DAW; recording live orchestral instruments, played by humans (mostly himself), instead of programming midi notes on VST plugins. It’s this attitude that makes his sound so rich and vivacious.

This record took a while to be finished but we're glad to finally release this beautiful EP from Matthew. The title track ‚Heimreise‘ has already been around a few years ago but never got to be released officially due to the vocal sample. After speaking to Matthew he sent us the track and we used it in our Cercle set last year which gave the track a second life and lots of people were asking for an official release. After lengthy negotiations the sample could be cleared and licensed and we finally finished the EP. We worked on a remix for ‚Heimreise' what turned out to be quite a challenge but after all we could wrap it up right before deadline and the whole record was ultimately done and set to release.

These two originals need no big introduction or explanation. ‚Heimreise' and 'Random Dub Fix' are wonderful displays of Matthews Dekay’s ability to create such hypnotic grooves that almost put you in a state of meditation. We still have so much fun playing these out that we really think this is a timeless piece of music. Thank you all for the patience, we’re happy that ‚Heimreise' found its forever home with Siamese.
