Dizraeli (Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Album of the Year 2020 nominee) weighs in to these difficult times with a club track about anxiety that transforms panic to pure dance energy, that has already seen plays from LeftO, DJ Khalab and Worldwide FM.

Dizraeli steps up to the plate as a remixer, reinventing his own track 'I Freak Out' as a slice of 140bpm gold featuring a legend of UK rap, Orifice Vulgatron of Foreign Beggars.

I Freak Out (Everything’s Fine Remix) is the second track taken from the forthcoming The Unmaster - REmixes & Versions LP (out September 2020 via Continuous Breath).

The first was the psychedelic Detroit-techno infused remix from Danalogue (The Comet Is Coming), and the project has many more treats in store including remixes and features from Afriquoi, DJ Simbad, Alabaster DePlume, Chestnutt (Snapped Ankles), Tom Excell (Onipa / Nubiyan Twist) and Spoek Mathambo (Subpop).

Tom Excell, the sonic murkelator behind ONIPA and Nubiyan Twist, gives the final track from The Unmaster its very own twisting... simultaneously filthy and warm. Bounce.

Q. What made you want to work with Dizraeli's music as a remixer?

A. We both have a studio at the Total Refreshment Centre, I heard and enjoyed the whole album at a play through evening. He a talented guy, also you never know what you might end up working on, over a cup of tea in the kitchen at TRC

Q. What drew you to this track in particular?

A. The original was only just over a minute long and sounded like a surreal 1930’s New Orleans circus troupe of Elves/insects/aliens sneaking through a forest… then you wake up briefly and have a follow on dream with added synthesisers … that was the remix…

Like a psilocybinic pathway through the woods, getting more and more playful/sinister/other worldly and then to bring you safely back and light a fire for the night… 

Thinking about it now, it’s a bit like the scene in original 1971 Willy Wonka where the Oompa Loompa’s go all dark n trippy on the boat in the tunnel.. and Gene Wilder recites a poem over the top.

But that wasn’t what i had it mind when making it tho….. like a dream, it made itself, like a mycelium network… i never quite knew the destination.
