Through the 13 tracks on this project Dizzy Gordo tells a dark story that ranges from selling drugs to make ends meet while living at home with his mother, from depression and losing friends to the streets at a young age and trust issues between love interests and friends. One of the most versatile artist in the DMV music scene Gordo has a knack for speaking nuance of his daily experiences in his music. The project’s first track does so eloquently but staying true to his gritty sound Gordo presents us “Demons” in which he talks to us about overcoming his demons and dancing with the devil, which ultimately has held him back from his true potential in life beforehand but now he is transforming before our very eyes.
Gordo shows his harmonic progression mid-way through the project with Mind Right which shows the inner struggle he faced on a daily basis while trying to get to this point he is at currently mentally and spiritually. With more tracks produced by upcoming producers such as, Whyzoo, YungTago, 28Golfboi and Thatbossevan, Gordo paints a vivid picture of how he has matriculated through the trap life and he is ready to venture into the next phase of his life and truly ball out in all facets of life and music. 2020 has been a year of tragedy, reflection and healing and entering 2021 welcome to Dizzy Gordo’s Last Year Trappin’.
