Shocked and saddened to hear that Stu Allan passed away this week, to say he was a legend is an understatement, he was the scene for me in Manchester throughout the nineties thanks to his radio show on key 103 and his sets at places like Club Kinetic and Bowlers, he played many styles over the years including Hip Hop and Chicago House but I obviously remember him for his Bouncy Techno and Hardcore sets, the first rave tape I ever heard was a Stu Allan at Club Kinetic tape and it changed my life (literally) never heard anything so amazing before and I wore the tape out, fixed it with cello tape and wore it out even more, it was like Christmas when someone told me he did a radio show on key 103, so there I was recording every week trying to stop the recording to miss the adverts and then listening to that recording in school all week, usually so much I got my walkman confiscated.
This is my tribute, just some of the many tracks he played that I loved, for all the cheeky monkeys, rest in peace Stu ...

Right one of my vinyl decks has had a problem with low sound coming out of one of the channels so I tried fixing it in the old fashioned way of hitting it and shouting work you bastard.... after that didn't work I changed the cartridge and the audio cables (which seemed to help more) so I then decided to do some test mixes to see if it would hold up and this is the first one.
Yes I dug out my old UK Hardcore records from the early to mid 2000's and to be honest had a great time going down memory lane. As you probably know the mid ninties is my favourite time for hardcore and rave in general but I did most of my raving in the early 2000's and after I feared Hardcore was dying the fact that good quality music was being made again was a massive bonus, anyway ....... waffle over, I've done 4 of these so far and may do some more if people like them, all vinyl mix (obviously), enjoy!
