Take off your clothes and those of a close friend, lover, or admirer; put on those white bathrobes (which are NOT free for you take home with you, btw); and try and contain your giddy giggles as you take the elevator to the top floor. Do what you need to do to convince the poolside bartender to let you slip this mix on the soundsystem as he leaves you to enjoy a slow, delicious moonlight swim.

In this quarantine period Rebirth wants to make you feel better sharing another beautiful mixtape of the master Larry Heard.

Larry Heard, born 1960, is a musician widely known for the Chicago house music he produced in the mid-1980s and continues to produce today. 
He was a member of the influential group Fingers, Inc. and has recorded solo under various names, most notably Mr. Fingers. His smooth production style with soulful vocals and long instrumental passages that de-emphasized percussion spearheaded the subgenre known as deep house. One of his first releases was a collaboration with singer Robert Owens, released under the group name ‘Fingers Inc.’. The song ‘Mystery of Love’ instantly became a classic hit, rising to #10 on the Billboard Dance charts. Larry Heard's musical influence can be heard in the songs of countless artists. For those who appreciate warm and passionate compositions, Larry's music is pure magic. He has been blessed with a unique gift that sends listeners into a blissful euphoric state. 

Larry Heard mixed our 10th year anniversary collection in 2016, including some of the best releases of the Rebirth’s catalogue.

Corrado Bucci has hand crafted this brilliant DJ mix packed full of outstanding tracks. From a lazy sunny day spent on a beach in South America till more obscure dancefloor vibes. Enjoy it and never give up , we'll be fine.

DJ extraordinaire and production whizz Corrado Bucci becomes the latest star in the Local Talk and Compost Records galaxy. The hype is on and Corrado has already started gathering a reputation within the house music community with his symphonic sound. He is currently working with labels like Compost Records, Wonderwheel Recordings, Local Talk and BBE Recordings.

 

Corrado Bucci is a young talent born in 1988… a kid who started playing piano, keyboards and digital machines cultivating dreams of glory. With the single "23 Years Old" followed by the remix for the Japanese duo Bocca Grande, Corrado Bucci signed his debut on Rebirth Records in 2012, where he also now holds an A&R and scouting position.

 

His music has a melodic vein and fuses his signature symphonic sound with the afro-latin, jazz and funk culture vibe. He also explored new musical territories with the inclusion of live instruments and a groove out of the ordinary. In May 2013 Rebirth released the "Chewing Bubble" EP (licensed later to Defected Records) and in 2014 "Open Your Eyes", remixed by Andrès (Moodymann / Mahogani), gaining respect from DJs like Gilles Peterson, Rainer Trueby, Jimpster, Tensnake and Joey Negro to name just a few.
