Aphrodite Hard Hammond Dub Remix (1997) of Urban Dance Squad

The earliest version of this was a DJ Aphrodite dubplate called 'Baddest Mutha Fucka On Two Turn Tables'. This became BM Funkster (BMF) and was included on the first V2 album. Lyrics were added by the Jungle Brothers for a single. Around the same time, a similar bass sound and line was used in another track called 'The Champ' produced with Micky Finn whch was for a limited album release.

It’s hard to believe this is the debut track by Calibre on Metalheadz, and it’s already a firm dancefloor favourite thanks to its skipping drums and variants in bass. The remix was massively different to the original, and had one the trademark Aphro reece bass lines with an Acid twist, and a old-school hip hop intro.
