This is a fairly heavy-sounding downtempo track created in March 2011.  No, it's not nicely polished.  Yes, it was created when I was feeling fairly depressed.  Take the title as you will.

DJ Badger - The End Can't Come Soon Enough

This is a very early, tentative, unmastered two-minute "preview" of a song from a forthcoming project.  "Safeword" is only the working title, and it will likely be expanded or changed by the time that this track is completed.  It is a churning, melodic piece running at just under 65 BPM, and I'm quite pleased with the progress so far.

"Safeword" (Preview)

Today, I stumbled onto a CD with a DJ Badger song I'd almost completely forgotten.  I don't remember exactly when I produced this... maybe 2004 or 2005.  The sound file is a little "soft," so you may need to bring up the volume on it; I need to do a bit more work on the levels. DJ Badger - All This Fun and Me Without My Sleeping Pills

This is an excellent track to play in your car stereo while driving around at 3:38 in the morning, especially when you just happen to repeatedly drive by the house of someone who won't return your calls.  It's also a good soundtrack for hunting down old acquaintances on social networking sites.

Being Haunted Just Isnt What It Used To Be

This is a little different than anything I've done before:  Essentially a Latin track, but with a much darker edge.  I used a Spanish guitar riff (processed enough that it sounded like it was being played through a transistor radio), with a festive little beat, which gradually accumulates elements that become darker and more manacing.  At one point, I think parts of it actually sound like something one would hear in the old Soviet Union.

If you know much about my work, you know that I usually don't do "short" tracks.  This one ended up being a little under three minutes, but I'm still terribly pleased with how it turned out.

DJ Badger - El Conejo Blanco

NOT FOR KIDDIES OR THE EASILY OFFENDED!  This is definitely not the type of song for which I'm usually known!

This entire track was made with heavy beats and recordings of female... um... happiness.  It's definitely not something you'd want to play out loud at the workplace.  I recommend listening to it while watching some wrasslin' and drinking a nice warm Schlitz.

(No, I didn't record any of the ladies myself.  I legally licensed the samples years ago, and a few months ago, I figured I'd see if I could practically build a track out of a bunch of them.)

This is not a pristine, polished track... but it was fun.

DJ Badger - If You've Got the Oil, We've Got the Bombs

I have been struck with quite a bit more creative inspiration this year, so hopefully I'll be more prolific in a number of ways.  This is the first track released from a forthcoming EP, which I'm hoping to deliver somewhere in the spring of 2013*.  "Past Tense" is a bit different than what people may expect of me - at 118 BPM, it's not my normal downtempo production style.

I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out.  it's churning without being too brash.  Give it a listen; hopefully, you'll enjoy it as well.

Badger - Past Tense

A colleague of mine on djforums.com asked for some producers to upload their first track.  Well, here's "Pounding" - the first track that I ever put together, from WAY back in 1999.  It was "released" (limited edition of two or three copies) on a CD single called "Heartstrings (Song for Teresea)."

(For those who don't know, "Clockwork Wizards" is another name under which I have done production in the past.)

While it's certainly not perfect, I'm still very proud of it.  It's a decent downtempo track with a nice mixture of different musical elements.  If you like it, feel free to download it!

Clockwork Wizards - Pounding

In early 2004, I released my second electronica single, "Gypsy Drama."  It was released on special orange CDs, which are now long out-of-print.  It's still one of my favourites of my "old" tracks.  :)
