Q: Talking about your mix. How did these tracks influence your later career?

A: It´s really hard to pick out some special tracks of the past, as there are so many I loved to play in my sets. This is a mix between older tracks, which really shaped my musicial style in the beginning of my DJ career as well as tracks which have an important weight for me. In the second half I also used some of the newer tracks I am playing in the moment. So its nice to see the development of the music I played in the last 12 years.

Q: Besides DJing and producing you´re working for Upon.You. What´s your job there?

A: I am not really working for Upon You as we were always a big family and it was more the passion for the label which took all of us to where we are today. 

Q: Which Gunnar Stiller releases are coming soon?

A: There is definitely a new ep planned for Upon You as well as for Smiley Fingers. Currently I am working on a remix for my good friend Alexander Aurel and I have some ideas and wishes for the next months - lets see how it all comes together.

Originally I tried to make a sequel of the "Luna"-mixtape, but the more tracks I collected for this mixtape, the more independent the topic became. Over all it took half a year to finish the idea of what it should be.

Es war das Opening am Samstag nach der Feierpause von 16:00 - 18:30 Uhr, der Plan war euch abzuholen und auf den Weg zu schicken, denke das hat ganz gut funktioniert.
Meine nun sechste Möhre war wieder ganz speziell und einzigartig.

It was the Opening after the break from 4pm - 6.30pm and my plan was to pick you up and show you the way, i think that worked pretty good.
My now 6th Möhre was special and unique again.

Wilde Möhre Festival 2019 | Wildschreck

"I don't dance" is a pretty bold statement coming from someone whose line of work is to make the rest of us dance - but Locked Groove clearly knows what he likes, and it seems to be working out. He shot straight to the top in 2012 with two EPs on Hotflush Recordings ("Keep It Simple" and "Rooted") as well as one on Turbo ("Different Paths"), and Scuba's heavy use of his material in his recent Fact mix shows that we have a lot to look forward to in 2013. Locked Groove has been in high demand lately, and his Truancy Volume reflects all the reasons why his DJ sets are worth catching. We caught up with him to see where he's been at lately, which you can read below to find out such important information as why trance is maybe not so bad as you think and some of the more unexpected sounds that inspire him to do what he does.
