Professional Biography
My name is Carl Fons, a DJ and music producer born in Manacor, Mallorca in 1981, with Afro-Atlantic roots from Cape Verde. With over 20 years of experience in the electronic music scene, I’ve developed a signature sound that blends Techno, Dark Tech House, Afro House, and Psy-Trance with a raw, uncompromising gangster attitude and a deep passion for connection on the dancefloor.

I don’t play for trends – I play for genuine connection. Every set is a direct conversation with the crowd, no filters, no posing.

My journey began in 1996 as a Light Jockey at "Pub Es Golf" in eastern Mallorca, working with Technics MK2 turntables and Denon CD players. Those early days taught me the discipline of manual beatmatching, vinyl manipulation, and energy control — skills that still define my sets today.

I’ve held residencies at iconic clubs across the island, including Havana Club, Bells Disco (Alcudia), Space s’Illot, and Twister (Calamandía). I’ve also performed at major venues and events like BCM Mallorca (2005 and 2008), Tito’s, and Maze Berlin, where I played an underground afterparty that left a mark on my artistic identity.

In 1999, I co-founded Empire Killer Sounds, a club that ran for 18 years, hosting festivals, raves, and cultural events. Today, I lead a new chapter with Zarabunda Festival, a creative platform that promotes underground electronic culture in Mallorca through music, fashion, and community-focused events.

I am also active as a music producer, releasing original tracks in Tech House and Techno through respected international labels. Whenever possible, I mix with vinyl and prepare my playlists with surgical precision to adapt to each venue, audience, and vibe.

My key influences include Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden, Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, and DJ Rush.

I am available for international bookings, currently open to projects across Europe and beyond, except for Asia, Japan, and Australia — still on my list to explore.

For me, music is energy in motion. My mission is to deliver a real and memorable experience every time I step behind the decks.
