Following the release of Confession Vol. 1 in 2021, Vertex dives deeper into the concept of confession, using each track to explore a different struggle we all face: pride, addiction, lust, self-doubt, and more. This isn’t just an album—it’s a statement. A raw, vulnerable offering to the mental health community from an artist who’s openly shared that music and faith saved his life.  The album unfolds like a narrative, with Vertex (Jacob Chavez) in a depressive spiral, called to action by a familiar voice—K4NTR1P—who acts as his conscience, pushing him through the fog with humor and urgency. It’s a story of resistance, of choosing light over darkness, and of turning pain into purpose. A DJ and producer from the UK with deep roots in the underground scene, I’ve been passionate about music—especially grime and UK garage—since the early Garage Nation days. From a young age, I’ve been involved with pirate radio, clubs, and private events, building my craft and my sound.

Over the years I’ve played across various stations and venues including GR Bar, G2, Premonitions, Irie.uk.net, Distinct FM, and Fusion FM, as well as clubs and bars around Birmingham.

My sets blend UK garage, grime, R&B, hip-hop, and bass-driven club sounds, with a particular love for UK bass and new-school garage. You can catch me live every Sunday from 5–7 PM on 99.7FM Distinct FM, broadcasting across the Midlands.
