[ ursula rucker ]
was born and raised in philadelphia, pennsylvania, where she was a graduate of temple university’s journalism program. she is of african-american and italian descent. rucker had been writing poetry since adolescence but kept her writings to herself until she read poetry in 1994, at philadelphia's zanzibar blue, which is credited as her debut.
that same year, rucker was invited to collaborate with numerous recording artists, and producers including wax tailor, king britt, 4hero, jamaaladeen tacuma, josh wink, alix perez and most notably the roots.
rucker garnered a reputation for unique poetry techniques and stage presence which were described as 'strong, vulnerable, wounded and raging'. king britt gave rucker recognition and invited her to create her first spoken-word recording, the 1994 club hit 'supernatural'. dance music fans and dj's quickly appreciated rucker's vocals and rhythm, which was described as 'mystical'. according to britt, while the original and remixes of supernatural were continually used in clubs widespread throughout the united states, internationally, the most popular mix of the song remains the a cappella.

suara is a label based in barcelona run by spanish dj/producer coyu since 2008 that has a reputation for great quality dance music. releases on the label come from talented stars in the house and techno worlds, often backed by stellar remixers. recent releases have once again raised the standard for the label so it's no surprise support often comes in from the likes of the biggest names on the scene.
now up to over 300 releases releases, the label is earning the respect from the whole scene. recently #1 most charted label of 2013, 2014 & 2016 on resident advisor's list, suara is going from strength to strength. quite simply! it's tasteful music made for maximum enjoyment on the dancefloor by some of the most interesting artists of the scene.

Hailing from Freiburg in the Black Forest, Chris Veron is one of the most up-and-coming techno artist from southern Germany with releases on various top labels such as Codex, SayWhat?, Set About, Prospect, Unrilis, Phobiq, Orange and many more. His most successful track "Drift Line" on Codex Recordings directly stormed the Beatport Techno Charts in 2021 and gave him his first number 1 hit. So you should definitely keep an eye on him and not miss him in the near future. With his unique techno style, melodic driving grooves and synths, combined with dark hard elements, he brings every dance floor to a boil. According to Beatstats, he was one of the top 25 best-selling techno producers on Beatport in the last 12 months, as almost all of his tracks have reached the top 20 of the techno charts since 2020.  It's no surprise that his tracks are regularly supported by the likes of Adam Beyer, Ramon Tapia, Umek, Spartaque and even Alan Fitzpatrick. Because of his infectious energy behind the decks and his constantly strong connection with his audience, he has already successfully performed in some of Germany's best clubs (Sisyphos, Robert Johnson, Artheater and many more) and at numerous events and selected venues in Europe. It's no coincidence that he is a resident of southern Germany's best open air festival "SEA YOU - Beach Republic" and has also been a resident of Freiburg's most popular techno club Drifter's since 2006.
