This summer I had a host of high profile UK & European Festivals and spent 3-4 weeks of solid studio time beforehand, tweaking and enhancing each & every track I played for maximum muscle. I re-edited and Revamped a total of 160 tracks during the process.

And then I went out and SMASHED it :)

Hope you enjoy this recording of my headline set from the wonderful Wickerman Festival in Scotland on a weekend where I also played Kendal Calling and Secret Garden Party before collapsing in a heap on Monday morning at 3am.

MTG searched the jungles across the Globe and these master Monkeys is what we found.  First off is Quadrat Beat from Latvia.  Quadrat Beat gives us 11 tracks in under 15 min... Whaaaaaaaat?  He blends them like a master chef of beats, giving us a look into why he is one of the most sought after breaks acts around.  Next is USA resident Monkey DANKS.  You know what your gonna get from this guy, banging breaks hits that keep your azz on tha dance floor at all times.  Next another Latvian sensation and one of the prestigious Ibreaks family, Under This gives us four tracks with groovin melodies, heavy vocals, and oh yes some of that old acid flavor that always brings the club crowd to their feet.  Under This also gives us a NEW RELEASE OUT TODAY OCT 22 called Enigma.  Then its off to the UK with Sir Breakneck.  He gives us that old/nuskool flavor that he is world famous for dropping, giving us yet another style of breaks in this already action packed mix.  And last but not least is Play Moore from USA.  He shows us why he is one of the fastest up and coming acts in breaks, giving us yet another fully loaded 15 min with 8 smashing breaks tracks.  On top of that this multi talented monkey Play Moore gave us the awesome art for this release, BIG UPS MATE!

The Autobots are a UK electronic act that in the later part of the 2000's concentrated on the higher tempo of Breakbeat, Tearout Breaks. A high LIVE energy act that recently appeared at a Halloween festival in Spain and also had a new Drum and Bass release through Viper Recordings. This mix takes it back to the good old days when The Autobots were in their prime. - pardon the pun ;-) and i have just realised that sounds very wrong. lol.

Around this point (2013) I'd really become pretty disenchanted with Breaks. For me the breakneck tempos, shouty MCs, Psy-Trance influences, jungle-bass coldness and EDM-infused sound-palettes had all left me cold ... the genre had taken a series of turns that I just didn't like.

This was a rebuttal to that - a return to simpler times, with slowed down tempos and a seriously deep Reece style bass.

Mixing music, smooth blends, proper levels, great turnover & danceable tunes.

Bio - I started mixing vinyl on Tech 1200's end of 1997 and bought my first pair in early 1998.  I still own them today and also use a Pioneer DDJ SZ since 2014 to keep up with the new stuff.  I started mixing house parties around Orlando in 1999 and continued through the end of 2000.  End of 2000 I moved to Las Vegas and became a resident DJ at Club Blue inside the Blue Note located in the Aladdin Hotel and Casino now Planet Hollywood.  I was resident there for over a year mixing breaks.  I continued to mix a year after for local Vegas House Parties and then hung up the headphones for nearly 5 years.  When I returned in 2008 I did some local gigs around Ft Lauderdale for a few years.  Once becoming a parent in 2010, I chose to limit my club days and my DJ career has become mostly internet shows and mixes.  I hope you enjoy them here on Soundcloud.
