About DJ DEE-TOY "The King"
Baba John Ramokhoaseaka known as DJ Dee-toy, is an award winning DJ - winner of 2010/11 Emfuleni Municipality Best DJ, the chairperson of Vaal night’s movement, an event coordinator of undergo-NITE production, and is considered as one of the best performers and premier deejay in the Vaal.  

DJ Dee-toy was born and raised in Sedibeng district in Sebokeng Township as the oldest in the household of four siblings. Deetoy is the breadwinner in the family after losing both parents. He learned an appreciation for the art of music at an early age, and found his method of expression on the turntables and mixers where he developed his skills by watching guys like Frank Roger, Christos and Vinny but it was DJ Vindico from Pretoria who taught him everything about deejaying and how to mix properly.

Since 2006 to date, DJ Deetoy has been touring the neighboring countries while sharing stages with top South Africa DJs like DJ Black Coffee, his king DJ Tira, DJ Fresh and C’ndo to name a few. In 2011, he made his dream debut to the Miami Winter Convention. He had the pleasure of being the only South African included in the 2012 lineup that included DJs from Italy, Portugal, USA and China to name a few.

“My first time in Miami was too amazing for words! I know it was a big arena, by making it there, I believe I will gain respect from my peers. When I play I want to touch people and make them touch the floor and just want to emulate the likes of DJ Tiesto who is the world no1”. Deetoy said “I want to be the next Harel and believe me I am working on it, and I want to be the next Soul Candy because that guy knows what he wants and he gets it”

Dee-toy might not be a household name but he is definitely not small especially in the Vaal, He is big on the club scene, the media has already made notice of the king. “It was long getting to the piece of my dream and now that I am here I will change the game like my brother the older king of KZN Dj Tira whom I also bestowed the name of King”
