This track by the hand of @angelheredia is composed with the usual strength of the bassline, percussions very accurately that bring the necessary rhythm as well as vocals that surround the track. All this succeeds the groove style and consequently, the philosophy that we want to follow.

Regarding the remix, the family continues growing and this time it will be @juliancollazosofficial who will join us, one of the great names of current electronic music. Born in Yumbo (Colombia), he is a real specialist in mixing styles and his production is characterised by percussive, cheerful and imaginative elements.

Mendo celebrates the 10 year anniversary of the original ‘La Krika’, taken from 2013’s ‘Avalon’ album, with a February update raising the temperature for all those wanting a holiday hot streak. It’s part of a bigger celebration, Clarisse celebrating its 20th birthday with the label head - and all round king of making things happen in house circles - remixing his favourite and most sought after tracks.
 
On 2023’s ‘La Krika’ retouch, Mendo recalibrates the weight and arrangement of the drums, conducting a circle of percussionists all in tune - and heaviness of the bass – thick yet supple in moving the track along. Both set the tone for an open air session with no curfew – nothing’s gonna confine this one to a backroom or minor stage - with Mendo seeing to a midrange, seesaw of a riff with a touch of old skool ‘French Kiss’ to it. Adding brief but slick piano fills with some French Touch/Crico Castelli in mind, both elements are minding their own business but get to the front of the party, providing the sort of addictive sensation that served the original so well.
 
Now for the vocals: still coming through a battered radio via the World Service, still sounding like a chatty taxi driver delivering you to the club from the airport, and the big night out being as such that he still wants to get into the spirit of things as well. The new and improved ‘La Krika’ is the perfect blend of tribal and Latin house styles, and cause for much celebration.

We are really excited to welcome Wheats back to Daylight Robbery after previously making waves on DRR015. This time he joins forces with Josh Gregg & Marck Jamz to deliver 'Drum Machine' EP. With releases on a diverse range of labels including Toolroom, Cajual, Resonance Records, Go Deeva, Freakin909 and Amplified Records among others, these guys are making big waves. 'Drum Machine' is a medley of punchy drums and heavy bassline that blend with Marck's vocals to lead you through the night. Energetic jackin' groove and vocal snippets will definitely keep you lock into a 'Special' groove.

Having released on the likes of D-Vine Sounds, Safe Music, King Street Sounds and more, CASSIMM makes his debut to the label with his remix of 'Drum Machine'. With his bright drum kit, fat snares and groovy bassline, he created a truly vibrant feel to the title track.

Another debut to DRR, after previously releasing on Simma Black, Loulou Records, Recovery House and more, it is time for Animist to bring his sound to the label, and it's with a great excitement to have him on board. Putting his signature to 'Special' with dreamy chords and synths his transformed it to a late night groover.

We are really pleased to welcome Benjamin Buttons & D Lysio to the label too. The duo joined forces remixing 'Drum Machine'. They combined Marck Jamz vocals with bright synths and chords taking the title track to even more deeper paths.
