Nostalgia actually means a lot to me. It was a turning point in the way I approached writing hardcore. You know, why not have really music listening sections that invoke some kind of emotion? I'd like to think it sits well between being a Dance floor AND a listening track. 

I was trying to recreate that 2000 sound with newer production. You know the great stuff like your shining and black magic bad magic. I loved those fast riffs and hadn't touched them in ages!

DJ and production duo Solardo were born and raised in Manchester, a city where music has historically been central to life. Coming from a background in dubstep, the pair have taken these roots and cultivated them into a fresh bass-heavy signature that has started to resonate with a wider audience, building up a force of fans and nods from influential label bosses along with a healthy slew of releases behind them on the likes of Kalkuki and Viva Music. Having put the hours in developing their ethos and aesthetic, 2016 is already proving to be a big year for the production team. 

Here the pair (made up of Mark Richards and James Eliot) have delivered us a large chunk of bass driven techno, featuring a very special and exclusive first listen to a collaboration with Skream another techno convert who they're set to link with when they make their debut in Room Two on May 7th.

DJ Diab has been DJing for 11 years now and producing for one. The twenty five year old first played out live at Totally Lost It, Manchester along side legendary DJs such as Hixxy, Joey Riot and Seduction. The decision was then made to enter the Hardcore Heaven Weekender 2009 DJ Comp to which the hardcore enthusiast earned third place; more recently DJ Diab got through to the HTID Weekender 2012 DJ Comp to which he got through to the finals playing live down in Cornwall! He has now decided to step it up a gear and try and get his name out there in order to get more bookings. Watch this space for future releases!
