I went for more of a trip hop sound to my mix: being a big fan of Aphex Twin, Bjork and Portishead I felt this needed something special.  I speeded it up for dubstep and put a nasty bass sound to beef it up and make it original, and the vocals are messed up, and don't make much sense like Aphex did with some of his remixes.  I also used my own voice to repeat part of the lyric - adding a very personal touch to the mix!

Moby posted a Blend project last month, The Last Day, and as an avid fan, I HAD to work on it.  Having had the project close to two weeks, this is what I came up with, a techy, nearly trance like track with a sort of morose and hopelessness that Richard seems to love; there's moments in here which didn't make much sense to me, but worked so well with it, it was incredible.  I did quite a lot of tweaking, shifting and general messing around until it felt right.  This does feel to me like a project that did not come from me, but did at the same time... figure that one because I cannot!

Mellifluous - Hiraeth (DJ Dinamique Remix)

DJ Dinamique is a French English DJ who loves mixing house, acid jazz, funky house, low tempo chillout and most of all UK Garage. He's been mixing for nearly 20 years, starting with 2 standard CD players and a little mixer he got in Tandy back in 1995. His first mix was a Prodigy megamix which although had not such a good beatmix, the ideas behind it were good.

Today DJ Dinamique likes to play with digital media, and uses mixing programs to mix his MP3s, as he couldn't afford to get into the vinyl side of it - as a teen he wanted to DJ like everyone else, but sadly as most of his materials were on CD that's the route he chose.

Dinamique loves UK Garage the most, with old skool mixes being his favourite style. Artists like Bump n Flex, US Alliance, Sunship and Matt "Jam" Lemont being his favourites.

Dinamique is currently working on his production skills, and has done a remix for Moby, Taiwan MC, DWilly, Major Lazer and Lucky Nicky just to name a few.  He is hoping that 2019 brings his best work out of him.
