Dunman is an extremely versatile underground electronic producer and DJ based on the south coast who started out at the age of 18, and now 26, bases himself around an extensive array of different dance genres and styles. Over the years, he has allowed himself plenty of time to churn out tracks at an alarming rate, releasing on the likes of Daffy's imprint - Animated Audio, DA DEMOLITION SQUAD, First Tower Records, Over and Out, Boxed, 1Forty, Southpoint & Pondlife Party. It’s lead him to have an ever growing list of guest mix appearances and track support from the likes of Rinse FM, BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra, Keep Hush, Reprezent Radio, Balamii, 1020 Radio and more.

Dunman is renowned for not just his original productions but an ever growing list of refix's and edits which are essential for any DJ in the dance. It is where he has some of the most fun with producing, combining his taste for sampling and love of numerous genres to create for any given scenario, whether that be an RnB esque ‘wifey riddim’, a grime flip of a house classic to turn a dance on its head or even an old 90's ravey breaky bonanza, you can be sure Dunman has the artillery for any given situation.

This is where it all begins. "Manifesto" is the origin story, the blueprint of A.R.F.A. – a journey through three decades deep in the UK rave scene. This track isn't just music; it's a testament to the roots, the evolution, and the enduring passion that has shaped my life.

From the first rumble of the bass in those legendary warehouses to the intricate breakbeats that defined a generation, "Manifesto" traces my path through the sonic landscapes of Breakbeat Techno, Jungle, Drum & Bass, and UK Garage. It’s a sonic document, charting the progression from the raw energy of the early 90s right up to the futuristic rhythms of today, all underpinned by that undeniable UK rave spirit.

This is a personal declaration, a shout-out to the towns and venues that forged me – from Rugby, near Coventry, to the hallowed grounds of ESP Dreamscape at The Sanctuary, Milwaukee's in Rushden, World Dance at Lydd, and Die Hard in Leicester. Every beat carries the echoes of those nights.

A massive personal tribute goes to Distrax (John), my brother and best friend through this entire era. He was instrumental in opening my eyes to the light, teaching me to mix, and inspiring me to create. Without him, A.R.F.A. wouldn't exist as it does today.

"Manifesto" is an ode to the DJs who taught us everything – Slipmatt, Distrax, Ratty, Fat Controller, Billy Bunter, DJ Sy, Suduction, Kemistry and Storm, Tango, LTJ Bukem, Fabio, Grooverider, DJ Rap, Krome and Time, Randall, I could go on and on, so many I haven't mentioned. Their artistry laid the foundation, and their spirit, especially those who are no longer with us, continues to fuel the fire.

Built on a foundation of raw Jump Up DnB, with the aggressive vocal, and infused with those nostalgic rave textures, "Manifesto" is more than a track – it's a statement. It's A.R.F.A.'s promise: Always Ready For Action.

Rushing My Tits Off" isn't just a track; it's a journey back to the heart and soul of the original UK rave scene, built from my deepest personal memories and an enduring love for an era that changed everything. This one's for the heads, the pioneers, and every single soul who found their tribe on the dancefloor.

From the infamous moment John (aka Distrax) said do you want some poppers and pulled out a milk bottle size vessel at Dreamscape 7, to navigating searches at the door and feeling the walls vibrate with bass before even stepping inside – this track pours out every sensation. 
It's about that electrifying moment the door cracked open, revealing a sea of 'Ravers' united, soaked in sweat under soaring laser lights, all moving as one. That profound sense of 'Peace, Love, and Unity' wasn't just a slogan; it was the air we breathed, the unspoken pact between strangers, regardless of background or race.

This is my tribute to the pilgrimage, piling into cars, blasting tape packs, and queueing for hours just to share that collective euphoria. It's about those timeless phrases – "Big up your chest," "How's everybody feelin" "What's your name, where you from, what you done?" – the language of a generation finding freedom in the beat.

(Special Shout-out for Distrax):
A monumental shout-out must go to Distrax (John) – my best friend, my raving partner in crime, and truly the brother who showed me the light in that era. Without him, I wouldn't have discovered the magic of those massive events, learned the craft of mixing on 1210s, or found my path to making music. This track, like so many of my memories, is profoundly shaped by our shared journey.

And above all, this is a deep bow of respect to all the other legends who architected that sound, who spun the soundtrack to our youth and ignited a global movement. To the unmatched skills of DJ Rap, Fabio and Grooverider, Randall,  Hype, Billy Bunter, DJ Sy, Nookie, LTJ Bukem, Krome & Time, Suduction, and the enduring spirits of pioneers like Tango and Kemistry & Storm – your sounds shaped my life and echo in every beat of this track. Your legacy lives on in every kick drum and soaring synth.

"Rushing My Tits Off" aims to reignite that pure, unadulterated rave energy, infused with the iconic  choppy piano drops, and huge Jump Up DnB basslines. It's my heartfelt message to the youth of today – this is what we had, this is what's possible when we unite through music.

Tokyo Drift - Teriyaki Boyz (Bish Bootleg) [Free Download]

It's the early 1980's, and Morgan Khan has just released the first of his seminal "Street Sounds Electro" series. A short lived collection of compilation albums that bought the underground soundtrack of an emerging culture from New York & Los Angeles, to the small rundown towns of Maggie Thatcher's Britain.
From that point on, John was hooked on this "underground" music culture as it quickly evolved from Electro to Hip Hop. Gathering and soaking up any information he could find about, DJ culture (scratching & mixing), the clothing (tracksuits & trainers), and even it's art (graffiti).
Like any addiction, many things were sacrificed in the pursuit of awesome.Paper Round money got diverted from the ‘normal’ social activities of a young teenager, towards more important items…. such as vinyl records. A couple of cheap belt driven records players (with no pitch control) and a cheap audio mixer from the local Tandys Electronics store were purchased. Not a perfect set-up, but it provided hours of entertainment. Beat matching was not particularly important for Hip Hop. Beats of different tempo’s could be dropped from one to another easily without being too jarring. What was important was scratching and beat looping. These skills were learnt. Mixtapes were made.An after school job brought in better money and so the turntable set-up got replaced with better equipment. Still belt driven, but proper DJ decks with pitch control and more robust needles… and with that came the knowledge of beat matching.
Shortly after leaving school a new cultural shift was beginning to stir across Britain.
Whispers of things called Acid House Parties or “Illegal Raves” began to creep out in the media. The weird shop that sold joss sticks, extravagant smoking contraptions and second-hand Reggae records began to also sell strange cassette tapes. Ordinary household TDK-D60’s but with a homemade inlay sleeve made from a cut up event flyer, and a white sticker on the spine with names like Carl Cox, Ellis Dee, DJ Seduction, Grooverider, & Micky Finn.These tapes would be Johns introduction to a new obsession. Where and what is this music being played? And how do you get hold of it? Not in this town, that’s for sure!
The music was amazing. Experimental beats, monstrous basses, insane synths….
A year on he discovers specialist shops such as Bang-in Tunes in Coventry and FibreOptic in Leamington Spa. Shops run by actual DJ’s & Artists on the rave scene, stocking vinyl with white labels with track names written on them in black marker pen. A new vinyl collection begins to take shape.
Distrax starts to go to the early legal all night venues such as the Eclipse in Coventry, and Equinox @ Milwaukees near Bedford allowing him to witness and indulge in the rave phenomenon first hand.
In 1991, a friend of John introduces him to a home computer called a Commodore Amiga 500, and in particular, what the Amiga can do musically. With the addition of a cheap and simple analogue-to-digital convertor plugged into the back, the Amiga could be turned into a fully fledged Audio Sampler.
John quickly grabbed his mother’s Littlewoods catalogue and bagged himself an Amiga 500+ at a bargain few quid a week. This was John’s first foray into the world of music production.
 Tooled up with a set of technics SL1210s, he first dropped on the radar through the hardcore / techno scene, sharing flyer space for events with the likes of DJ Unknown, Clarkee, Billy Bunter & Vinyl Junkie. He soon branched out with original productions released on Rancid Records, Euphoria Records and Bluebeck Records. At present Distrax can be located keeping up the good work with frequent releases, collaborations, and foraging for undiscovered talent deserving of a platform as an integral part of the Red Alfa Records crew, along with a regular internet DJ slot on www.globaldnb.com
