Trent Voyage and Elena Moroder debut their vocal infused house sound on Quirk.

Described as minimal, 90’s house beats and synth textures that frame Elena’s dynamic, sensual vocals and lyrics about paradise, love and fantasy. Since their 2022 formation they have debuted their live set which was well received bringing live vocals to the dancefloor.

This one never came out. Back in 2007 I knew Get Cape's manager slightly, and he asked me to do a mix. Then I had to deal with his A&R department, and ended up down a classic major label dicking-about rabbit hole. "Oh, we'd like you to remix this one" Do some work on it, get six weeks silence in return. "Oh, sorry, we didn't mean that one, we meant *this* one. Oh, and we need it by Wednesday. Don't worry, we're ALMOST CERTAINLY going to pay you." 

Did they f**k. They never used it. They used a Metronomy one instead - which, to be fair, is very good. I just remember being deeply pissed off by the whole experience. 

Somehow - can't remember how - a CDR of it found its way to Eddy Temple-Morris at XFM, who played it and broadcast it as the 'F**k Atlantic Records, 'F**k 'Em Right In The Eye Mix' - you can see the tracklist here: http://unkle77.proboards.com/thread/2172/rich-file-remixes-remix-friday 

I'm pretty pleased with it still. I think it does the song justice, even if it is a bit undecided as to what it wants to be. Right at the end, I added some 'Ba, ba ba ba baas' from the other song I had the split tracks from. I wonder if anyone ever noticed. I have no idea if Get Cape fella ever heard it. He was a talented guy - it's a pity he was served by central casting music industry pricks.

Faciendo is the manifestation of a spirit that underlies dance music in its various forms, the atmosphere of the early raves, the carefree attitude, the lack of prejudices both on the stage and on the dancefloor, the ecstatic moments shared with strangers from all walks of life united together by the primordial forces of music & rhythm. We have been sharing this ethos with the world for many years, it comes then as the next natural step, the creation of our label through which to continue sharing this vision.

For the first release, Scott Featherstone (aka Triform, Lemmon Grass, Beyond a Void & Glorious Springtime)provides two original productions that pervade exactly by the same values and feelings that move Faciendo. Carrying the zeitgeist of the early days of dance culture, the title track is an energetic and uplifting dance floor hammer, ode to the original summer of love, and one we hope beckons on the next. On the flip side finds the sublime and emotive 'Lifeflows', another long lost gem found on DAT by Scott, it sounds like an early slice of dancefloor driven detroit soul. Completing the EP is a lush grooving remix from our man of the moment Taylor Freels, aka Urulu and Liquid Earth. FAC 1, due in stores end of October 2020. Vinyl only.
