The Second release of the Lost Beats Series is by one of the UK's finest producers Evil Ed.
These beats were stitched together in Huddersfield in 1998 when he got his first Akai s950 sampler. They were sequenced with Cubase on an Atari ST computer and recorded straight onto cassette straight out of the s950.
This collection of beats were created in the same sessions that resulted in the beats made for the legendary 'Premonitions' EP by Jehst and other projects from that era.

The latest incarnation of JJ Whitefield, mastermind of retro funkateers Poets Of Rhythm, world groove pioneers Whitefield Brothers, afro-funk turned krautrock commune Karl Hector & The Malcouns as well as countless one-off projects, created a new outlet for hip hop inspired experimental funk: 
Whitefield Soundz stands for a "no boundaries" approach where he can combine all of his influences and mix them up with heavy drums. Having released tracks with Mr. Lif, Lyrics Born, Edan, P.E.A.C.E (Freestyle Fellowship), Rammellzee (RIP) & Shockdell (which Tricky sampled for his 2014 released song "Lonnie Listen"), Whitefield is no stranger to working with MC´s.
On "What Remains" he teams up with Phluid, who let´s loose about our world going down over raw fuzzy live beats. The flip features a psychedelic rock version of the Whitefield Brothers classic Safari Strut, which actually was recorded prior to the version first released on the Earthology album in 2010.

Rift Valley is the follow up from the 2016 instrumental LP "Nocturnes" by The Summit, aka DJ Drinks, aka, one half of North London outfit Armed Dukes.

An all instrumental affair, Rift Valley is full of distilled breaks and thick layered courtesy of the 1990s-era Emu Systems samplers.  Recorded and mixed throughout 2016, meticulously laid back to BASF 468 Master tape on a Revox B77.
