DJ East, versatile and eclectic, puts me in mind of early warehouse raves. His dark minimal style pulling attention from the likes of NIN's Trent Reznor, he is currently at work on remixing 2 tracks off 'The Fragile' due for release in early 2019 on Nothing Records. Having recently released a track on his own label, DrumPusher, 'Keep Pushing' is an uplifting tribal track while 'Learning' and 'Krypton' on Sick Records, Chicago are a more straight techno feel and his two earlier releases on Automat Records are pure tribal vibes.

Cited in URB Magazine as an 'up and coming' DJ, he was also mentioned in Mixer Mag for his turntablist skills and had a full article feature in the Denver based Image Magazine due to the excitement over his move there in 2006 where he played literally every venue Denver had to offer.

East got his first drum set at the age of 5 and having played back up for Charlie Benante of Anthrax fame and done percussion work on NYC Broadway shows, East was inspired by the drum circles at California's Moontribe gatherings and now offers both a DJ set and also a DJ with live percussions set.

Currently residing in Albuquerque, NM, East has been playing the last Friday of every month for Effex Nightclub's Rooftop since 2013 and in October 2017 he began a bi-monthly Techno Wednesday at Posh Nightclub also in Albuquerque. Having played guest spots all over the country and even a coveted set beside Carl Cox in Hong Kong, DJ East has only just begun.
