What's shakin' funky people?! We are back with Volume 217 of the series and we take a short trip to beautiful Vancouver Island to welcome our good friend and super dope selector, DJ PRIMITIVE to SRS!!

There’s nothing ancient about Primitive’s sound or technique.  Pushing the DJ and rave lifestyle in the Pacific Northwest since 2000, supporting the community by creating a slew of residencies, coordinating gigs for other DJs, promoting shows and developing the culture through platforms like Party People Sound Solutions, Primitive Hustle, Footwork Entertainment and PK Sound Victoria. Creating connections and allies, trailing a wake of inspired revellers hungry for more.  Primitive’s art and output has been strengthened through many collaborations, and now becoming his core focus, his DJ schedule leaving little time for heading up other projects. Live recording from a special daytime event at The Social in London. 

I never normally record the audience in my mixes, but, for some strange reason, there seems to have been a mic active on my device picking up the crowd. My aversion to this is that, apart from the general ambience of the room, it also picks up people chatting in or around the booth, especially in a small compact space like we were in. I hope this isn’t distracting, but, weighing things up, it was such a good day, and its so long since I’ve uploaded a mix to SoundCloud, that I think it’s only right to share regardless.
