My backing track Coming Hardcore will be released on its own later this year on the mighty Cleveland City Records.

If you were part of the Old Skool generation in the North West of England in the late 80's and early 1990's you would know the  sound of Rave.  I have written this Mash Up in appreciation of DJ Martin T, his skill and all of the old skool crew from Morecambe, especially The Carleton Night Club where one of England's best old skool venue's took over the scene back then.  Shokk was an event you could not miss each week and attracted people from all over the country with its unique sound and dedication from its team.  It kept the feeling alive for years.  Martin T used to pull off this mash up live using the track Manic - Im coming Hardcore & the 7" Single of R.E.M - Losing my Religion.  It along with many other live mash up's will never be forgotten and some have been pressed into vinyl or remade into actual tracks and remixes.  This one has never been done until now.  My biggest respects go out to Martin Townson and crew for your inspiration that pushed me on and on loving the sounds you created each week.  Never will any of us forget Friday nights at The Carleton........

FAGAN Ft MANIC & REM - Losing My Religion

Back in 1992 when I started Djing the trend was to out do your fellow Dj with a mash up of 2 tracks, usually a mix of an accapella and a top track.  Here is an original version of one of my efforts using Subiminal Cuts - Le Voie Le Soleil  and the Accapella of India - Lover Who Rocks You.  This is the original version I did and 2 years after Way Out West released their version of the track which was also used in this mix.  It's a timeless sound of what was possible when mixing 2 pieces of vinyl together in the club.  Today with technology it is easy to put the two tracks together but never forgotten is the feeling from back in the day when two tracks just went together seamlessly with nothing but skill and devotion from the DJ. I first dropped this at The Gardens Night Club in Morecambe to a crowd that are now a part of the online group Ultimate Old Skool.  You know who you are and if you were there you should be getting goose bumps right about now..
