Slik Momentz - Bestes Kleid (Deutscher Reggae)

Der erste Tonträger der Band „Bermooda“ ist ein Kurzspieler. 5 Songs auf etwas mehr als 25 Minuten. In Eigenregie an einem Tag aufgenommen und gemischt von Frontmann Georg Bermuda und dem Tonmann des Vertrauens Dimitri Lichtenberg, fand das Werk seinen Weg in das Studio von Steve Ganjaman. Dort erfuhr es eine liebevolle Veredelung und wurde letztendlich gemastert. Ein weiterer Name, der im Zusammenhang mit der Scheibe Erwähnung finden muss ist der des Straßenkünstlers Bender, welcher für das extravagante Design des Tonträgers verantwortlich zeichnet!

Die Releaseparty fand am 21.08. im Kulturbunker in Köln-Mülheim statt und seit dem 11.09.2015 ist die EP auch in digitaler Form bei Itunes, Amazon, Spotify etc. erhältlich und zu hören.

This song is a masterclass in Digital Reggae Dancehall MCing by the one and only Colourman who had  world hits in the 80's with tunes like: Kick Up Rumpus and Dirty Ways Gal. As a leader of Sugar Minott's Youthman Promotion Sound, Colourman worked with all the greats including: Tenor Saw and Yami Bolo! Accompaning Colourman is the singer of the group Donovan Kingjay (also associated with Youthman Promotion and is also Sugar Minott's godson) Donovan gives his rendition of the classic tune 'Tears' as the chorus and then Colourman takes things to another level. The riddim for the tune is a Digital Reggae Dancehall tour de force from Vibration Lab!

Every aspect of this project has been taken to the highest level! All the tracks were mastered at the great Star Delta Audio Mastering, where they processed the tracks through their amazing anolouge equipment which gives the music a real warmth and clarity!

This is just the first taste from this exciting collaboration, a full album has already been recorded and will be released in 2018. There was something about that 1980's Digital Reggae Sound that was way ahead of it's time. Vibration Lab have taken it, put their own mark on it and brought it to now! Vibration Lab want to show that before there was Hip-Hop, Reggae invented the art of MCing, time to take it back!!!

„Laugh and Gwaan“ - that’s not just the title of Mavado’s 2017 hitsingle which gave the 33rd volume of Sentinel’s notorious Dancehall Mix series its name.
Following those chaotic twelve months of last year, it’s also a pretty good motto to start 2018 with.
But let’s be honest:
Despite all the obstacles, the world had to face in 2017, it wasn’t all bad. Especially for lovers of Jamaican music and culture, it was quite an interesting year.
Dancehall could be heard everywhere:
From US Hip Hop to Deutschrap (German Rap), from Pop to Afrobeats - the influence of our favourite music was all over.
Sadly, the Jamaican original, once again, has not gotten the global recognition it deserves, but one thing is for sure:
The reason for this was no lack of big tunes!
The sheer endless string of hits being released from the studios of JA proved one more time, that the land of wood and water has to be one of the most creative places on earth.
Featuring both, the hardcore original and its various hybrid offsprings, „Laugh and Gwaan“ represents the perfect vehicle to observe the current state of this global musical movement which is called Dancehall.
Or you just press play and have a damn good time listening to some great music.
