Sol Selectas welcomes back German Brigante for his first solo EP on the label, a four track journey featuring two remixes by Namito and Rodrigo Gallardo. 

The Dharma EP is inspired by German’s love for India, and his extensive travels throughout this beautiful land. He found the sounds of India with sitars and tablas, to be very similar to his own flamenco roots from Andalusia, and the fusion of these two cultures is the foundation for the EP.  
“Rabba’ is a downtempo chill out tune, mixing both Hindu and Flamenco elements. On the remix we have long time friend of Sol Selectas, Rodrigo Gallardo. Rodrigo ups the tempo a bit and adds his signature elements of mystical Andes sounds, a perfect combination to the enchanting vocals. 

“Khooli Rah” is a fun playful dance floor tune mixing tabla percussion with disco elements and Moroder-esque arpeggios. German recorded his own voice into the session in order to create the melodies for the synths, which play along with the Vocals. 

“Parvati Man” comes from the goddess of Love - Parvati, the wife of Shiva. This is the most melodic and musical track of the EP, with gorgeous pads and chords complimenting the lush vocals. Namito’s remix elevates the original expertly chopping and gating the vocals into a new rhythm. The long percussive breakbeat interlude is a subtle ode to the 90s, a time when both German and Namito got their start in music. 
“Mahesha”means the Great God who is Shiva, and this tune is the most powerful of the four, thusly named after the most powerful God.  Sitar strings and spine-tingling percussion along with a high energy build up, makes this track explode onto the crowd. 

Helia Jamali’s artwork glorifies the sacred cow of India, with colorful flowers and dancing spirits in the sun soaked mountains.

His footsteps seemed to hush the night as he made his way toward the Jade River. At the edge of the river, he looked at his goldfish one last time. The moon shone above so even in the darkness of the night, the fish seemed to burn a bright orange. Its black eyes sparkled at him. “I’m sorry I can’t keep you,” he whispered. “I hope you will be all right in the river.” And with those words, he emptied the bowl into the water. For a moment the fish seemed shocked and was still, like a flickering flame on a match. Then it wiggled in the water and swam in circles, a joyful fire twirling in the water. Unja’s looking for the most beautiful skies up, where the mountains meet. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can give you the story of the universe. Vinzoo, Ivory Coats and Turn Water are the gate keepers to the doors of eternity.

FunKamel are Moti Landesman & Neria Orbach. The two mix a wide selection of ethnic music flavours, with a strong middle-eastern influence, often layered over electronic music styles.
FunKamel was formed in the underground scenes of Tel-Aviv, and later have also stepped out to perform in many of the freshest clubs and festivals that Israel and the world has to offer.
In 2019, the two founded @camelriderrec together with @larozcamelrider, The record label combines multiple electronic genres with traditional folk and organic music.

Havony’s roots are in Vietnam. She grew up surrounded by musicians, so it only made sense that after an epic trip to San Francisco ~14 years ago, she decided to take DJing to the next level. Super inspired by sets from legends like Lee Burridge and taking in the SF scene, she moved to NYC where she went to DJ and Music Production school & began to define her style on dance floors around Brooklyn.

Soulful and mesmerizing, Havony boasts a unique sound that can only be explained by her melting pot of musical influences: her time in San Francisco taking in deep house, her upbringing in Vietnam absorbing their unique electronic and her experiences at Burning Man where she started experimenting with tribal house. Blending those deep tribal sounds with melodic techno house , Indian dance and progressive ,her sets keep the energy high—capturing hearts on dance floors and keeping the crowd going till dawn… and usually through it. 

Havony continues to experiment with blending different genres; no matter the set, she keeps it weird, fresh and always danceable. You can discover her sound live behind the decks at upcoming international events and festivals.
