Following two DJ mixes from Dr Packer featuring bonus tracks, the album kicks off with a bonafide classic. Dr Packer’s take on Soulsearcher’s ‘Can’t Get Enough!’ maintains all its most iconic elements, the euphoric vocals and timeless groove given a fresh-sounding elasticity. Another highlight and an album exclusive, ‘Big Love’ from Peter Heller’s Big Love is brim full of Dr Packer’s unmistakeable warmth, cowbell accents giving the groove some bump. Next is Dr Packer’s remix of The Shapeshifter’s evergreen ‘Lola’s Theme Recut’ followed by another album exclusive, Candi Staton’s ‘Hallelujah Anyway’. The first ever release under their Selace pseudonym, the record comes laden with lingering organ chords and stunningly raw vocals, echoing the stripped back quality of Switch’s ‘I Still Love You’ and with a similar deep-reaching feel to Massive Attack’s early 90s classic ‘Unfinished Sympathy’. When Tom Laroye and Yam Who? debuted their impassioned disco cut ‘Hit It Off’ last year it immediately captured the hearts of its listeners. Now, the release is given fresh life for 2019 with a new digital package featuring their Extended Disco Version, and two remixes from legendary Australian selector Late Nite Tuff Guy. Written by acclaimed soul artist Benny Latimore, and made famous my Millie Jackson in 1979, the track was initially translated for the dance music world by Tom Trago. Qwestlife’s take on the record features the unmistakable voice of Teni Tinks, who brings true diva flair to the track. With joyful chorus and smooth production, the duo demonstrate their ability to craft modern disco with traditional analogue techniques in the Extended Disco Version. Late Nite Tuff Guy’s Liberated Woman Remix takes the listener on a funked-up choppy journey, while his Extended Remix has the silky-smooth sound of a 1970’s club classic.

For BBE Music’s landmark 500th release, the label joins forces with Louie Vega, Leroy Burgess and Patrick Adams to revisit ‘Barely Breaking Even’, the iconic track after which the label is named.

Coaxed into the studio together by BBE founder Peter Adarkwah, Grammy winning House music hero Louie Vega, arranger extraordinaire and New York disco royalty Patrick Adams, plus the song’s original writer (and king of boogie) Leroy Burgess soon got to work. Even given the caliber of those involved in this special session, the results are simply exceptional.

Featuring live strings by The Apple Hill String Quartet arranged by Adams and Burgess, Vega’s ‘Boogie Mix’ stays faithful to the Universal Robot Band original, with potent vocal performances and a tough new groove for 2019.

It was at the string recording session for the boogie version that Louie Vega unveiled his ‘NYC House Mix’ to the assembled musicians, at which point he and Leroy Burgess quickly arranged a brand new horn section and re-wrote the song’s melody to compliment the track’s accelerated pace. What the team emerged with is so much more than a remix- it’s a unified call-back to two golden eras; that of disco-boogie and that of New York House. And it’s beautiful.

Hazem Nabil started his musical career as a Keyboard and Piano player in 1985 during his middle school years. In 1987 he formed his High School Musical Band at College De La Salle (Daher) and started performing in the school's events as well as other French Schools events in Cairo (Sacre Coeur Daher & Sacre Coeur Heliopolis).
	In 1992, Hazem Nabil stopped playing music as a Keyboard and Piano player and started playing as a DJ in his University in the College's excursions. After his graduation in 1995, he started his professional job career in a Multinational Company and he has been appointed as an office manager for this company at Sharm El-Sheikh where he met the manager of Cactus Discotheque (Movenpick Jolie-Ville Sharm El-Sheikh).
	In 1996, Hazem started his first steps in the professional DJs world by getting trained by the resident DJ of Cactus Discotheque in Sharm El-Sheikh, then he started working as a part-time reliever for this DJ, then he has been hired as a Part-time DJ at the Bus Stop in Sharm El-Sheikh.
	In 1997, Hazem returned back from Sharm El-Sheikh and resigned from the Multinational Company and joined "Happy Time Entertainment" with Yasser Shaker "Egypt's # 1 DJ by that time" and he became his first  DJ till 1998.
	In 1998, Hazem Nabil established SAM Events with his partner Walid El-Telbany and they started hitting the market and performing in several private and public events and he has been appointed as the official DJ for the AUC by that time till 2000. Hazem Nabil has performed during 3 years in all the AUC events inside and outside the University's Campus as well as all the AIESEC, Model ARAB League, Model United Nations & Prom parties.
	From 1998 up till now, Hazem Nabil has developed his DJing skills and his music library. During this period of time Hazem has performed in thousands of weddings including top VIP and celebrities weddings in addition to hundreds of Corporate events and Fashion Shows.
