The Weight Of The Wait

Ive been listening to Techno since 94 and decided that I was tired of all the bullshit being played on the radio and became a Dj, so that I could listen to the music I love and not the mainstream garbage that was polluting the club scene and giving it a bad name. I miss the days when you went to the club to see the Dj and not to get drugs, when you could have just as much fun broke and sober as you could being loaded and rollin your ass off. When by the end of the night you had talked to everyone in the club and sooner or later, anytime you went out, no matter where you went, you knew everyone there. The days when P.L.U.R actually meant something. All of the sets I post on my page will always be all vinyl, because I dont believe in conforming to what society believes is best. I do understand that going digital expands your possibilities, but it takes away from the performance of the Dj. I feel that part of being a Dj is putting on a show with your hands as well as with the music being played. To me, it isnt fun watching someone press buttons to put on a show, I want to see a record spinning and the Dj putting his or her hands on them, being able to show the skills they possess instead of pressing play and hitting the synch button. I am about as Oldskool as it gets, and I will never change.
