DJ Insomnia started spinning in the summer of 2000, with the far-fetched dream of sharing the music he loved with people everywhere.

That summer, he decided to throw a little house party with some friends. A shocking turnout of people showed up, making the event an instant launching platform for Insomnia.
A few months passed, and Insomnia kept thinking of ways to spread and share the uplifting and moving sounds of progressive and hardhouse. In February of 2003, he started spinning at Night clubs such as Energy Thursdays. Later that would be the best thing that happened to Insomnia. More and more bookings came his way hitting the night life scene all over Chicago. Other clubs such as Medusas( The Mission),Blue Star Lounge, Congress Theatre, Club Q, Ruby, Logan Square, Moda, Religion ect..

2006 to this date has been the biggest years, with residencies at Ontourage and Stereo Nightclub. Now in the House music and Dutch house scene he has a more acquired feel for this. With the scene still booming to this day, Trap music has been on the top of his list with his capability to deliver the best sounding live mixes. Not only that, but he proved his talent behind the decks by performing alongside artists such as Bad Boy Bill, Psycho Bitch, Teri Bristol, Mixin Marc, Dj Bam Bam, JJ Flores, Steve Smooth , opening for Zeds Dead and much more.

Always the performer, his live energy and mixing abilities must be witnessed live to be fully believed.
With several successful parties of his own completed, along with countless gigs at clubs/events , DJ Insomnia is well on his way to establishing his name in the music scene. 2020 will be a new stepping stone in the producing aspect of the music industry.
