I Dont Need You Anymore

Who am I.
I grew up back in the 80's in Ballymun Dublin. My first rave was the mansion house in the 90's. before this I was a rocker listening to 80's rock music. I left the mansion house humming 2 songs then headed for Abbey Discs on Abbey Street about 4am Queuing until it opened (weirdo). You would think it was the Christmas sales and I was queuing for a free holiday in Budget Travel. The 2 songs I heard that night was Rozalla-Everybody's free and 2 Unlimited Get ready for this. I had purchased my first vinyl records without a turntable, I had a tape deck by no record player. I continued to rave and buy vinyl without a turntable for 1 year until I purchased a second hand vintage player with mixer (No technics,the cheapest available). I continued to rave in Sides DC when I was at college in Cathal Brugha street training to be a chef. I went to Jersey in 1993 where I looked for a job in Raffles nightclub as a DJ, the only mixing I could do was flour, butter and eggs for pastry. I was way out of my depth so I tanked on my first night. I continued to work in Raffles 6 nights per week between the lights and the decks learning each night. I moved back to Ireland where I settled in Ennis Where both Djing and Chefing took off. I landed the big night in the queens hotel nightclub then Central park nightclub. Working 50-60 hours a week in a restaurant and 4-5 nights a week in a nightclub became life for me. I worked in the queens hotel nightclub for 20 years then I decided to stop DJing and retire. I couldnt do all the long hours plus the late nights so I decided to stop. Over the years I purchased studio equipment so I decide back in 2009 to start making tunes. I learnt from YouTube and books all about music production. I worked at this for 5 years then I gave up. Gardening and listening to music became my thing. In 2018 I had 2 full hip replacements (one then another) as I had many of years wearing them down due to being on my feet, lost my chef job in a hospital which I worked at for 19 years. I then got Covid when it landed in Ireland in 2020. After experiencing a tough run with Covid it was time to have a word with myself. If I died all my music stuff which was idle for years would be wasted and my garden would be overgrown. I said to myself its time to loose a few pounds, get back into music production and get the garden sorted. In 2022 I have tons of work done with music, I have won loads of best garden awards over the past 3 years and I am now Executive Chef in a 650 bedded hospital. I put it all down to a great women and My life gowning up in Ballymun in the 80".Enough of the soppy shit have a listen to the music. That's me.
