Penny is a DJ from the South of England, recently discovered by Yamatai Records in Jersey for her dark and deep mixing style, which is heavily reflected in her sound. She has been involved with the likes of Kengai Records, Cross Road Records, Innovate Collective, Blender Collective and supported artists such as Mandidextrous, Crossy, Sota, Corrupted Mind, XAETIS, PINE, Speaker Louis and Pangea in Poland.

Behind the scenes Penny is a vocalist, song-writer and producer working away at her craft, she has collaborations in the pipeline with some heavy hitting names in the scene - We look forward to hearing from her very soon.

The title track starts the proceedings with a sublime floating amen journey through dimensional layers, a perfect to start before Strontium takes over the sonic baton with crisp breaks and space-faring synths. The sci-fi infused sounds continue throughout the LP from the gentle Nothing More to the beguiling Realdreams. The LP also contains a 3 way collaboration with Marc Renton and Lunanescence, another spacey atmospheric masterpiece as well as NonRev on the remix duties for 'Vortextures' where he blends the original sounds with his epic future jungle visions. The rolling 'Fully Dysfunctional' opens the EP, switching effortlessly between ravey stabs and intricately edited drumwork before giving way to 'Lowest State Of Consciousness', where footwork jungle comes to the fore with pounding kicks and deep atmospherics. 'A Thousand Ways To Ruin Your Day' does quite the opposite, a rolling stepper full of deep bass and meticulously edited synth interplay, fully designing to screw up faces all over dancefloors. The EP closes with 'One Of Them', where dreamy 80's synths give way to introspective glitched choppage of the highest order.

A truly label stunning debut from an artist we look forward to featuring more of in the future.

I was a working DJ/producer 1996-2001 (UK). Lover of electronic music since 1990. I use this site to share some of my mix tapes and the best mixes from other DJs that I've accumulated over the years. This is purely for entertainment, sharing and promoting good music.

I did produce some tracks back in 1998-2000 but only released a couple of EPs with DJ Relay under the names Low Profile & Two-Step2. We are getting back into production again as of 2020 and will be re-releasing some of our old and new tracks going forward, find our tracks on Juno, Beatport, Amazon, etc.
