Once again, here I am reminiscing of summers gone by. Quite fond of this particular selection: some beautifully melodic rollers from Van Kleef, Dillinja & Jeep Head; deep & dark jungle cuts from DJ Hype & Shimon; a few obscurities that I either didn't put a name to, or simply passed me by; and of course a few summertime amen slammers just so you know I'm not fucking around. Hello Lover, Tear Into It, Radical Sound's What Is Love & those two Dextrous KOTJ joints, always guaranteed to put a smile on my chops.

MetalHeadz inspired dnb mix 80m - We Shape the Future (1995-2005)

Is it dnb? is it techno? no it's Hardcore, taking you deep deep down to the core... This one's for the original ravers, oldskool pirate business n ting. These are the sounds that got me hooked on electronic music and DJing. Every track is a stonecold classic, flashbacks to being 16-17 and those illegal raves in abandoned buildings, underground style. First 10 mins is DJ TAG, then DJ DAZ takes over. 

Syndicate 101 fm taking us way back to where it all began with some 90's style underground dance music, before there was techno, dnb, house, etc.  there was simply 'Hardcore'... A sound that inspired more sub genres than you can shake a stick at & a multi-billion dollar worldwide dance music scene. Nuff respect to all the original pioneers and pirates. Only Syndicate 101 FM used to drop heavy hardcore on the morning show, that's how we used to roll...

Designed to blow your mind - an absolute classic oldskool jungle techno / dnb set from Top Buzz (the MC is also bang on it, not sure who it is?), flashbacks anyone... 

Good sound quality considering how old the tape is. This is from the 'Que Beat Vol.1 Live at Freedom' 3 tape set from 1993.

Dangerous... crackman on line freaking out, don't do that... Can't get enough, can't get enough of the Mickey Finn. If you don't know get to know - Mickey Finn's one of the best. F***ing Voodoo Magic Man... This set brings back some memories. Amazing sound quality from a copy of a copy of a 22nd year old tape. I'm pretty sure this is from the summer of '93, last set of the morning - 8am n' still bubbling...

DJ Mickey Finn - World Dance 1993 Oldskool DnB & Jungle techno

Coming at you like you've never had. Bukem's on quest to take you to a level above the rest... Taking us way back to when d&b was just starting to emerge from the Hardcore scene & Conrad used to scratch his voice - these guys have always been head n shoulders above the rest - LTJ's as hard as hell. Shit this bring back some memories. 

Not sure when this was, sounds like late 92 or early 93? anyone? Plenty of hardcore and techno influences so it must be early & Conrad was still scratching his voice at Dreamscape IV (92), so i'm guessing it's around that time. Rush coming on... rush coming on, it's coming on strong...

I recently found a whole bunch of mixes I did between 1992 and 1997 and started the long process of ripping the cassettes to mp3.
As I work through them in no particular order I’ll put them up here for download.
Remember, the sound quality isn’t great as they were all recorded through a mixer with no EQ and committed to cassette on a shabby home stereo…But what the hell, it’s that authentic 90s sound through and through, with a needle-skip and everything.

I was a working DJ/producer 1996-2001 (UK). Lover of electronic music since 1990. I use this site to share some of my mix tapes and the best mixes from other DJs that I've accumulated over the years. This is purely for entertainment, sharing and promoting good music.

I did produce some tracks back in 1998-2000 but only released a couple of EPs with DJ Relay under the names Low Profile & Two-Step2. We are getting back into production again as of 2020 and will be re-releasing some of our old and new tracks going forward, find our tracks on Juno, Beatport, Amazon, etc.
