“On May 4th , we remember the victims of war. On May 5th, we celebrate our freedom. Everyone, Every year." I went to the remembrance at Het Homomonument (gay monument) in Amsterdam and heard impressive speeches bij trans-rights activist Alejandra Ortiz and journalist Haroon Ali. They perfectly described how i feel these days and mentioned explicitly what's happening right now in Gaza, Oekraïne and Sudan. The artwork by this mix is from Oxfam Novib.

Freedom

House music saw some of its finest hours in the 90’s. Like Hip-Hop, it grew up in the 80’s but came of age in the 90’s when the sound started dispersing in tons of different directions and influences: Hip-House, French Touch, Disco House, Garage and so on.
