DJ Kenedi's Merengue Video Megamix

 At the age of 11, Kenedi asked his father for a set of turntables and a mixer for the holidays. 

    His wish was granted when his father, who is a well known Wedding and Bar/Bat Mitzvah emcee, decided to put together a disc jockey system with his vintage equipment and records.

    Kenedi fell in love instantly and dedicated himself to learning the art of mixing music. His hard work was so apparent that his father, Kenny Q decided to upgrade Kenedi’s DJ system and enroll him in to disc jockey classes at Jam Master Jay’s “Scratch DJ Academy” in Manhattan, New York.

    After being educated by some of the most prestigious mix masters, Kenedi’s skills became so enhanced that he was able to join his father’s business and perform at various special events. 

    Now in 2009 and already mixing at over 100 events, Kenedi continues to further his talent by completing an 8 week Ableton Live Remix class at Manhattan’s Dub Spot. He spent 8 hours working with Brian Jackson (Ableton Live Certified instructor) at Brooklyn’s Form Lab Studio. Kenedi also receives one on one DJ tutoring by DJ JD (resident DJ at Foxwoods MGM Shrine nightclub). In August, he will start his 9th grade education at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts.

    Kenedi is driven to be successful in the music industry. He is continuously working on skills and harnessing his talent as well as furthering his education.
