DJ Kweks is a brand name to reckon with in the DMV’s (DC, MD, VA) international entertainment scene. Popularly known for his incredible talent, high energy international fusion mixes and high quality standards, DJ Kweks is a favorite of DMV’s young professional and adult crowd. His events are the talk of the city and are usually packed with hundreds of professionals representing the various races and cultures DC has to offer. His signature event, “The Afropolitan”, is now the largest Afro-Caribbean happy-hour mixer in the DMV area, bringing together and connecting over five hundred young international professionals every first Friday of the month. The Afropolitan is also now one of the key platforms for exposing Washington DC to contemporary African music in the DMV area. Other events hosted by DJ Kweks include symbolic African national celebrations targeted at young professionals. 
DJ Kwek’s unique creativity and diverse taste in music; natural command of the dance floor; and captivating DJ performances are a rare blend and what sets him apart from the very best DJs. His ability to blend multiple international genres seamlessly makes him the ideal choice for key international and corporate events. He is truly a master at rocking international events whether at the McDonough School of Business spring formal in DC, the John Hopkins SAIS cherry blossom parties in DC, the LRIS fund raising gala in Baltimore, the DC Mayor’s Office on African Affairs Festival, or at FestAfrica – the largest African festival in the DMV (over 6000 people). DJ Kweks has delivered countless number of impressive performances, be it at large Nigerian weddings, private parties, popular African concerts and festivals or corporate parties.
DJ Kweks has also produced and released several hit mixtapes of various international genres (including Afrobeats, Azonto, Dancehall Reggae, Soca, Pop, House, etc). His last mixtape series “Break Border” and “40-40 Bliss” had thousands of downloads from around the world. 
In 2010, DJ Kweks launched his international entertainment company – DrumPulse Entertainment – to further expand his brand, develop the highest quality breed of international DJs and bring African music and culture to the main stream. Today DrumPulse Entertainment is a staple of DC’s community. DJ Kweks also has a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Howard University and an MBA from Georgetown University.
